The Skill That Changed Everything.

I welcome you to my blog. All of us as humans are seen the same until what you have to offer distinguishes you from the rest. Life is not all about receiving; at some point you are required to start giving, and at that point if you fail to have something to give, you will lose respect and the regards people around had for you. You must carry with you some value; nobody said you must know it all or be a jack of all trades, but at least have an area in life where you are valuable, where you can be called to offer your expertise.

From when I was young, I have always loved the tech world, and that was how I moved from being on one platform to another because back then we believed earning with your phone automatically made you a tech guy, and that was how I stumbled upon Hive, and since it was required that I use original photos, I started using Canva to design my cover photos on Hive. At first it was frustrating, but later on I got to like it, and I became a pro using Canva. Back then I was happy to make a post because with every post I had to put something together on Canva, and that is what makes me happy.

When an organization I was a member of wanted to host their annual meeting and needed flyers and banners, I told them the contract and money should be given to me and that I could do it. After so much deliberation and argument, they somehow agreed to give me a try, and I, on my part, decided it was an opportunity to showcase what I had, and I did the job perfectly, and that was my very first gig in graphic design, and from their members, who are business owners and needed flyers too, started coming to me. I had no guide and did not know what I was doing, and I was charging way less than others, but at that point, all that mattered to me was to just design.

I got into college, and I met people using Photoshop and Pixel Lab to design as well, and I felt the need to start learning how to use any as I kept hearing people say that Canva makes designing too easy because of the templates, but not everyone uses a template; some start a design from scratch even though there are templates there, but many people just believe that once you are using Canva, it automatically means you are using the templates. I started learning how to use Photoshop to design. I was not able to complete the learning, but I at least learned the basics and can use them comfortably.
