The late starter that made a difference.
Charles just picked up his phone and was scrolling through Facebook, but all that he saw on his newsfeed kept revolving around cryptocurrency and Bitcoin. He had never heard of it before, but since it kept popping up on his newsfeed, and the testimonies about how it changed people's lives alongside how it ruined people's lives forced him to pick up interest in the said trend. "How can the same thing be a blessing to one and a curse to another?" Charles asked himself as he continued scrolling through social media.
"What are you so interested in? You are not the type to stay on your phone for so long, but you have been on your phone for the past 2 hours, watching one video or the other. What happened today?" Ruth, his best friend, asked.
"Have you heard of this?" Charles asked, showing his screen, and the word bitcoin was boldly displayed on it.
"Ohhh, cryptocurrency caught your fancy too? It did catch my fancy too, but I had to let go and focus on other things that matter." Ruth responded.
"If it caught your fancy, why did you not bother to learn and understand how it works? Because I know if you had learned about it, maybe I would have learned about it earlier than now." Charles said with a straight face, showing he was mad at her for hiding such a trend and a life-changing update from him.
"You are late to the game." These were the words a crypto expert said to me, and I did not bother joining again: "Joining the crypto space now is like joining in on a series at episode 10. The trend has been on for so long, and you cannot catch up even if you try to." Ruth said as she tries to discourage Charles in the same way she was discouraged too.
Charles loved what he had seen on social media; at least there were more good testimonies than bad ones, and that helped to convince him that entering into the crypto space was the best option he had to turn his life around, and he made up his mind.
"I might be late to the game; all that matters is that I can still join, and joining in late does not stop me from making a difference." Charles said as he walked out of the room.
Charles left the room with so much determination; he promised himself that he would step into the space and he would prove to people that one can still join in late and make a difference. He believed joining late cannot stop him from achieving his goals in the world of crypto, which is to make gains, and he started his journey. He subscribed to YouTube channels and bought some courses online, and he spent 3 hours daily on the courses he bought.
"Don't allow your mind and attention to be fixated on getting quick money through cryptocurrency; you will need time, dedication, and determination before you start to see the good sides of crypto." The tutor in one of the videos he was watching said.
"Hahahaha." Ruth burst into laughter immediately after that was said. "What do you think that means? It means it is over because the last time I checked, people made real quick money from crypto, and now that it is too late, they are telling you all this?" Ruth added with a facial expression showing doubt and disbelief for what Charles was doing.
All the discouragement from Ruth and other friends fell on hard rock; Charles had his mind made up. He was determined and dedicated; he gave it his time, and in no time he started to understand the crypto space, how it works, and how you can make good investments in the space and make good money despite how volatile it is.
"Being late to the game cannot stop you from making a difference, especially in the crypto space that is big enough for everyone, and all it takes is determination and consistency." Charles said to Ruth, who was now begging to be tutored.
You have described the crypto space aptly, learn and learn and learn. Once you have mastered it, you will rake in profits.
It's a good thing Charles played.
A beautiful story.
You're absolutely right. It's very well-suited to the contest's theme. And it tells the story of what we often go through when trading cryptocurrencies. I hope there's always someone who can advise us in the world of crypto, because that's what you just did with this great, very true story. Luck @offia66! I following you
It doesn't matter the time you get into the game of crypto, if you just make up your mind to learn how it works, you can make a difference.
