Privatization of public need and the aftereffects.

Hello, everyone.

Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learner's featured post. Since time immemorial, it has always been the government's sole responsibility to take care of the needs of the people, but at the same time, the government has always failed to make provisions for the basic amenities that the people need, causing the people to lack almost everything that they need, and lacking the basic needs of life causes a lot of pain and suffering. This simply means that the government's failure to do their job puts the people through a lot.

The people have looked up to the government for a very long time, and the government has never failed to disappoint them, and at this point, the people have gotten to their breaking point and are no longer raising their expectations high once the government is involved because of how many times their high expectations of the government have come crashing down.

The government is always after taxing the people and taking the taxes meant for the development of the country for themselves, their kids, and their generations to come, and even when they manage to provide the basic needs of the people (general public), there is little or no maintenance at all to help elongate how long it will serve the people, which simply means that in no distant time the need provided will wear out and the people will go back to suffering. The government will only make provisions with little or no maintenance and then claim the needs of the people have been attended to, but without maintenance, whatever needs that were provided will only serve for a while, and the people will go back to lacking it like it never happened in the first place.

In so many countries especially African countries the government have always failed to carry out it duties of providing all that the people need to carryout their day to day activities and it is always affecting the people's productivity and even as a nation, the failure of the government to carryout the duties affects the country's economy negatively and reduces the rate of production but increase the cost of production as well as the cost of goods and services.

For me, I think privatizing the needs of the general public can be good to a point because these private industries will make the provisions and go as far as ensuring that the provisions made are maintained and serve the general public for a very long time, but this will come at a cost. It is no new news that having access to the services of private industries can be expensive, so the people will be charged excessively, but I am sure they will be given value for their money, unlike what we see with the government. The government tries to cut costs and provide us with the cheapest services, but private industries will ensure that the people are treated right.

The negative side of privatizing public needs.

Allowing private companies to provide all that the public needs to them will always have both negative and positive sides, the negative sides being that there will be extortion of the people. These private industries might see it as an opportunity to milk the people dry; human beings can be greedy at some point, so at some point those in charge of these private industries will want to take advantage of the vulnerable masses.

Uncontrolled or unregulated privatisation is indeed not for the good of a common man. Not all services should be privatised and the government must rise up to its core duties aswell.

Thanks for sharing your view with us.

As you said, much of the citizens' taxes end up being taken by the government, and what should come back as a reform in a school, an improvement on a road, ends up becoming a roast pig on the table of one of these politicians.

Governments are currently failing to provide basic things to people especially in Asian countries and people want them to get facilities because they pay taxes but it is not happening like this but what we have to say here is that there are some companies that are doing quite well, they are private companies, so if there are private companies here too, things can be improved.
