Pollution has become the order of the day.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. Almost every human activity results in pollution one way or the other. Sometimes we pollute the environment without even knowing we are doing so, and sometimes we do it intentionally. Gone are the days when pollution was known to be in a particular area or place; now it has become a rampant thing and can be found just anywhere. Those days visiting areas that are known to be polluted, you will prepare your heart, mind, body, and soul for what is coming, but these days almost everywhere is polluted, and how we have all adapted to live in polluted areas is what leaves me wondering.

So, pollution, in a layman's terms, is simply the introduction of harmful and hazardous substances to the environment. Once a substance that can affect the normal and natural functioning of an ecosystem is introduced into the environment (land, air, water bodies), it can be considered pollution. Whatever tampers with how things function naturally is to be considered pollution. There are different types of pollution, and they include

  • Air pollution.
  • Land pollution.
  • Water pollution.

We are all contributors when it comes to pollution, whether we are aware of it or not. Almost every activity we do as humans actually results in pollution, whether it is land pollution, air pollution, or water pollution. The food we eat is packaged in nylon, and after eating, how we dispose of this nylon determines if we are one of those who promote pollution of the environment or try to arrest the situation. So many people do not care, and they pollute the environment, thinking there are no consequences for doing so, but the truth is polluting the environment comes with grievous consequences, and when these consequences come knocking, we will all suffer for it.

The fact that the consequences of pollution are something that, when they come knocking, we will all suffer makes it important that we make fighting against pollution our business; we have to get everyone on the same page with us. The fight against pollution is not something a single man can win; we need everyone to join the fight, and that is the only way we can win the fight against pollution because it is becoming too rampant, and now many people see it as normal.

Every type of pollution is dangerous to humans, plants, and animals, but from my experience, I would say that the most dangerous type of pollution is air pollution. I have experienced a shop burning miles away, but we who were very far from the accident site were finding it very hard to breathe. It is difficult to control air pollution as it spreads really fast and does not need anyone's permission to enter anywhere and everywhere.
