One thought at a time? Not for overthinkers: Embracing the chaos.

I welcome you to my blog. It is really not easy to get by in life every day as an overthinker; analyzing a situation or someone's behavior or how they talked to you over and over again can be exhausting. An overthinker only gets to rest when they are asleep; whenever they are up, they are working. Even when sitting in a single position, they have a lot going on in their head and mind. Sometimes I feel overthinkers overdo things as they tend to give meaning to everything that they are not even supposed to bring into consideration. A little something you can just let slide, an overthinker, and overthinking starts making you see reasons as to why you should react or think about it.

Sometimes I feel overthinkers are the cause of their own problems; you overthink and keep your head and mind extremely busy with all that work, and you tend to feel extremely tired even without getting engaged in any tedious work. Brain fatigue is something overthinkers suffer every now and then because of how much time they spend overanalyzing situations; others must have moved past the situation, but overthinkers will still be there analyzing and coming up with possible results of the situation, or if they had done things differently, what would have been the end result?

Overthinkers analyze everything that goes on around them over and over again; they try to see everything people do and say around them from different perspectives and also try to check to see if they reacted well and if not, how they should have reacted to everything that happened around them. Overthinking can be mentally exhausting as well as cause you to undergo certain emotional stresses, probably because you got the wrong message out of your overthinking. Sometimes a friend can be joking, but out of overthinking, you tend to get a different message, and you start thinking they said what they said because of your current predicament, which can be a lack of a job or something like that.

If one is not careful enough, overthinking can cause them to lose genuine people; overthinkers are actually one of those who cannot catch a joke fast. You have to make sure the direction in which you headed with your joke is crystal clear to avoid them analyzing it and trying to see it from another angle, which is where the problem comes from. A lot of things can cause one to be an overthinker; it can be the environment, genetics can also cause one to be overthinking, and most of the time it is past experiences. Experiences from the past can take you from being a nonchalant person who cares less to an overthinker as you try to avoid the experience and trauma that came with it.

I will say I am a bit of an overthinker; many times I find myself overanalyzing situations and events happening around me and trying to understand them from different points of view, and in the end, having to suffer mental exhaustion for no good reason. As much as overthinking is good and puts you a step ahead of people, it causes you to be mentally stressed all the time.
