No one does well when their freedom is taken, not even animals.
Hello, everyone.
Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learner's featured post. We all heard stories about zoos and the reason why animals are captured from the wild and their freedom taken away. This is to make learning possible both for kids and adults and also for fun. There are lots of things we have heard about certain animals, and going to the wild or jungle to see those things happen was risky as well as impossible for some living in countries or places without any jungle to see those things play out, but with zoos, we have been given the opportunity to see and learn, and it is not just stories anymore.
Those days other schools go on excursions to zoos; mine only takes us on excursions to the state's library, and my chances of visiting the zoo were quite small since I don't see my parents traveling with me to another state just so that I can experience the fun of visiting a zoo, so my only way of achieving that dream was through school excursions like my friends in other schools, but my school stood as a hindrance and kept choosing the wrong places to go for excursions.
I was not the only kid who kept hoping and praying that one day they would come up with a decision to take us to the zoo, but our dreams remained dreams until we graduated.
Growing up, I have always wanted to visit the zoo, but the state we lived in was a state that had none. My cousins living in another state always talk about how it is when they visit the zoo, how lovely and entertaining it can be, and that only left me wanting to visit the zoo even more. I never visited the zoo as a kid, but when I finally did, I really was not impressed with how the animals were looking; there was little or no care at all. The workers in the zoo were complaining about the lack of funding and how the animals were underfed; it was really disheartening, and all the excitement I had died down.
How can animals in the wild with no one looking after them be looking way healthier than animals that are under the care of humans? This is as a result of lack of care; we caged them, took away their freedom, and still are not giving them the type of treatment, care, and attention they need to stay healthy. We have seen in movies that no captor treats their captive right, so instead of capturing these animals only to starve them, underfeed them, and give them little or no attention, it is better we leave them in the wild and watch Nat Geo Wild if we want to learn anything.
The animals looked emaciated; a lion was not even giving off king of the jungle vibes that day, and it only proved the point that nothing can actually do well when there is no freedom, and also the fact that the zoo was made to look like their natural habitat does not make it one, so that also affects the animal both in health and in the aspect of reproduction. As much as keeping animals in the zoo helps studies and research, I do not support that their freedom to hunt and fend for themselves has been taken away by people who are not willing to do all of that for them, thereby causing them so much discomfort.
Being a small child we really want to visit there but we see the sad expression of animals in zoo we feel bad for them actually. They're living there but not with proud 🥲
No animal is proud to be in a cage.
Thank you for stopping by.
Yes no one deserves this
Some animals will even be looking hungry and unfed , if they can't Carter for them they should just release them to be free.
That's the simple truth, if we cannot care fur them then why cage them?
Thank you for stopping and leaving a comment..
I agree with your position though. The wild is not a place for the fiddle minded. The wild is dangerous for some of the animals to dwell because of the flesh eating animal that hunts them.
I would rather the animals are kept and managed in their habitat and inna confinement where they live a restricted life and become bored and fatigued as a result.
Exactly, the animals deserve to be free since we cannot give them the care they need.
