Living the life we dream of. 

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. Life is no bed of roses; to get things done, you must work so hard and break your back, especially when it comes to making dreams a reality. As a kid, I had so many dreams. They always told me to dream big, which I did, but no one told me I had to work this hard to make them come true. If someone had told me, maybe my dreams wouldn't have been this big. Nothing beats the feeling that comes with making a dream come true, the excitement, and how you appreciate yourself for not giving up on those dreams even when it got so rough.

Looking back at life, I'd say I have come very far. We have all had both good and bad times over the past few years, and both the good and bad times left us with a lesson to see us through our life journey. The journey of life is never going to be all rosy; there must be ups and downs, times where you felt like it was the end but managed to pull through, as well as times where your joy knew no bounds. One will continue to suffer ups and downs until they fully attain stability.

The past three years of my life have not been all easy. Sometimes you sit down and map out a plan for how you want things to go, but in the end, things start to go in a completely different direction from what you intended, and you try to put your life and everything going on around you on track. It breaks one down to see things go sideways and trash all you had in mind and worked tirelessly for.

After a few trials to gain admission into the university, I finally got admission in 2019 but started school in 2020. Not long enough, the Corona virus pandemic came knocking and varsities were forced to shut down. After a few months of shutdown, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) went on strike, and the whole of 2020 was spent at home. We were ushered into 2021 with the good news that school resumes immediately. 2021 started very well for me as I got introduced to cryptocurrency and mostly hive, and my financial life got better.

Students rallied, pleading with the school management that the academic calendar be made short so it does not affect when one is supposed to graduate, to which they were kind enough to agree and promise students that they'd do everything possible to make sure we all graduate at the right time. For me, I was happy because I already had plans on how I'd be a graduate by 2024, still quite young, and pursue other dreams. Not long enough, on February 14, 2022, another wave of ASUU strikes hit us, and it lasted for 8 months.

With another 8-months strike hitting the academic calendar, there's no way the school management could have managed it again. Currently, I am not living the life I dreamt of 2 or 3 years ago; I am still a student and not yet a graduate like I dreamt or imagined, but I know delay is not denial; it's a matter of time, and I will round up school and move on to the next phase of my life.
