Kids of these days vs. kids of those days.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. It is no new news that our world continues to evolve with each passing day, and the more our world evolves, the more a lot of things that were seen as traditions and even practiced become a thing of the past, and we start to adopt new ones, new ones we feel are more compatible with the era we are currently in. Sometimes we even make the mistake of letting go of the right things only to adopt the wrong ones; the evolution of our world has really blinded us.

I still remember the days when people frowned at indecent dressing; today it is seen as fashion and a way to get attention. These days, if you are into content creation on social media, all you need is one or two videos of you dressed indecently, exposing some part of your body, and the followers will be flowing. Even on the streets, those days, once dressed indecently, an elderly person would call on you and try to correct your dressing, but now all they do is cheer or tell you how beautiful you are instead of trying to put an end to indecent dressing.

You must agree with me that things are no longer the way they used to be, the things we could not engage in as kids is something kids these days do daily, even the style of parenting has changed, our parents did take the bible passage that say "spare the rod and spoil the child" personal because they did not spare the rod at all, at every given opportunity they use the rod to strike us but parents these days don't even do that, those days it took little or nothing to get whipped by our parents but parents of this generation don't even lay hands on their kids no matter what they do, and as they don't lay hands on them they don't want another person to do so not even their teachers are allowed to touch a hair on their head.

During our days, our parents believed that kids were to be raised and corrected by every adult living right, but the Gen Z parents believe that their kids are to be raised by them alone, and no other person has the right to correct their child. Our world is evolving, and a lot of things are changing; things are no longer the way they used to be.

Kids those days had to come together every day to play, socialize, and make memories, but it is not so for kids these days because they spend most of their time on their iPads, smartphones, or playing video games and have little or no time to socialize at all. Technological devices and how kids these days have adopted the use of these technological devices affect how they socialize; kids these days are exposed to more technological devices than kids from those days.

The old way is what we lack in this modern world... There are advantage of the old that we are not even benefiting from.. I only hope that this pass life and way of upbringing may come back again...
