Is a future where everything is automated possible?

Hello, everyone.

With the rate at which technology continues to evolve, I am sure a lot of us must have pictured what the future will look like. A science lover and enthusiast will say the future will be more fun and more exciting because of the wonderful and marvelous things that science and technology will do to make our lives as humans better, more comfortable, and more enjoyable. With every passing day, science and technology are evolving and improving; things that felt impossible in the past have been made possible by science and technology combined.

There is no day you'd scroll through social media and not come across a video or two displaying the wonders of science and technology. Both are working hand in hand to better the world and make life a lot easier and better than when we met it. Everybody is a living testimony to what science and technology have done for mankind. Life was not as good and as comfortable as it is today, but science and technology changed the story and made it possible such that we can enjoy and have access to a lot of things our forefathers never even thought of.

Those who lived before now will be envious of this generation, and trust me, this generation will be envious of the next generation because things will only get better. With every passing year, science and technology are trying to better our world. From the days of trekking and using animals to travel to the days of manual cars and trains, then automatic cars, then electric cars and trains, if we look around, we would realize that it only gets better.

If you are current, you will come to realize that we as humans are slowly being kicked out of business and being replaced by artificial intelligence, robots, and full automation. We now have cars that can self-drive, and all you need to do is say your location, and trains that don't need drivers too. It is only a matter of time before humans are kicked out of many jobs and are replaced by artificial intelligence, robots, and full automation. All that will need to be done is just to set the program up and let it run; you don't even need to do anything anymore. I have seen a lot of sci-fi movies where full automation is a thing, and all I can say is that it is possible, though it will come with a few consequences. But a world where there is full automation is possible; all that it needs is time to achieve that. Automation is slowly taking its place.

Though humans will be kicked out of a lot of jobs when this happens and everything becomes automated such that we don't have to do anything aside from setting up the program or giving the instructions and watching it run, and then coming back to run maintenance checks and ensure that everything is working perfectly and as expected, a world where everything works and operates on its own and all that it needs is the instructions on what to do but does not need anyone to operate it is very much possible.
