How technology has reduced social relationships and interactions.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. How far we have come and all that we enjoy today is all thanks to technology. In those days, to have fun and entertainment, we needed to come together as a group, as you could not have fun all alone and in your house; stepping outside of your house was a must, as there was no other way to have fun alone or in your house. But technology changed all of that; today, you can have as much fun as you want from the comfort of your room and without needing to step a foot outside your house.

The evolution of technology has brought entertainment and fun not just to our doorstep but right to our bed, in which you don't even have to leave your bed to be entertained, as once you have a smartphone and internet connection, from the comfort of your bed, you can be entertained as well as be well informed. Spending your time scrolling through social media might be considered a waste of time for many, but for some, that is how they stay informed too, as these days no one really spends time watching news on the TV, which is why many news channels now have a social media account.

Those days we needed to be around people to have fun; today all you need is a connection to the internet and social media applications, not just one but as many as you can count (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, WhatsApp, etc.). With all of this, you can spend as much time as you want moving from one app to another, chatting, and watching videos, and you will never get bored, as there are lots and lots of things on these platforms to keep you engaged and entertained without needing another person.

You can also use these technological devices (smartphones, laptops, and computers) to see movies both online and offline. All these have contributed to reducing social interactions and relationships drastically, as even family members don't even want to be disturbed, as they want to spend most of their time doing one thing or the other on their phone or laptop. People no longer step out of their house to associate with friends, as they can actually check up on each other using their smartphones or even mobile phones, and once confirmed that you are doing okay, what's the point of stepping outside to see you again?

Technology and its continuous evolution have an effect on human interaction and relationships, as these days we spend more time on our phones and laptops doing one thing or the other while having little or no interaction at all with loved ones (family), friends, and neighbors.

You said it absolutely right Technology has made life easy and fun but it also has a slightly negative impact on social interactions and real relationships and balance is very important.
