Family plays a bigger role in shaping us.
Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. To shape a child into a better version of themselves, a lot of factors must come into play, like the environment, the people they surround themselves with, and then most of all, family. Family is what lays the foundation that every other thing is built on; the characters and habits many adults practice today are something they learned from family, and today they cannot do away with it because it has been embedded in them from when they were little, and now they do it effortlessly without even moving a muscle.

I have seen adults who find it very easy to wake up every morning, kneel by their bed, and say their morning prayers even before picking up their phone because in the family they grew up in, it was a tradition that was practiced every morning, and I have also seen adults who find it very difficult to do so, and when asked, they say they did not start it from when they were little, but now seeing that friends do it, they just want to do the same. Our family is the first to tell us what is wrong and what is right, and in the case they fail to do so, we fail to know, and then we end up on the wrong path.
When a child chooses the wrong path, the first people to blame are the family. Also, when a child does the wrong thing, it is always the family that is called upon because the society expects that the family, as a small unit in the society, is supposed to have laid the foundation and shown the kids the right path and wrong path. There are also cases where the family does all of that (showing the child what is wrong and what is right), and the child still ends up choosing the wrong path, and that too does not stop the family from getting called out. This is why every family and parent is encouraged to do all they can to ensure that their kids are on the right path.

One family ritual practiced in my family is the morning devotion. It can be annoying sometimes, as just when you are about to start enjoying your sleep, that is exactly when you will be called upon to come out for morning devotion, but all of that will still not stop you from coming out. Today as an adult, whether at home or away from home, I still practice the habit of morning devotion without waiting to be told; it is now a part of me. Even though I don't do it like we do it back home every day, I still make sure I say a prayer before I start my day.

Morning devotion is always important, commuting everything to God before you start your day and also ending it with him.
Keep up the ritual, it's good.
Family has a very big impact in people.
