Fame Comes With Both Merits And Demerits.

I welcome you to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners featured post. We have different categories of people walking the face of the earth. We have those who want to be known, those who are doing everything possible to make sure that they become famous and are known nationwide if not globally, and people who want to become celebrities by all means and don't mind going to any length to make sure that is made a reality. And then we have people who don't want the fame, people who just want to live a quiet life, and people who don't even want to be known by a lot of people.

The funny thing is that there is always a twist of fate. In most cases, those who want fame and are putting in the efforts to become famous or known don't end up getting the fame, but then for that person who is trying to live a quiet life, something happens that brings them to the spotlight. A friend of mine always talks about how he wants to live a quiet life where only a few people know him and how he dislikes walking on the road and having a lot of people saying hi to him or looking at him, but right before graduation he was part of those that represented my school in a competition in Lagos State, and they won it, and how he wants to live his life changed.

He had eyes on him, walking around and having people running towards him; some just say congratulations and move on, and some want to become friends, and he kept his head down praying and hoping that the fame blow over, whereas we have upcoming artists that are looking for fame, even if not a nationwide kind of fame; at least they should be well known around school, as global or nationwide type of fame does not happen overnight, but they got none. Being famous comes with both advantages and disadvantages, especially for people who want to live a private life. When you are famous, you will have very little private life, as almost everything about you is put out there for the public to see. It can also pave the way for you, being in your favor and getting people to want to be in your good graces so they treat you better than they would have treated one with no fame at all.

Fame will turn your life around completely; you will cease to be who you used to be once the fame comes knocking. You will be forced to adjust to fit in that is, if you want to keep the fame, but if you don't want to keep it, then there is no need for adjustments, as all you need to do is keep your head down, and in no time the wind will blow over and everyone will just forget anything ever happened. Keeping the fame or embracing the fame can be really difficult, but I think a lot of people are looking forward to becoming famous because of the advantages that come with being famous.

If, like in the case of my friend, fame comes knocking despite wanting to live a quiet life too, I think I am going to embrace the fame without thinking twice and not bow my head hoping and praying that it blows over; instead, I will take advantage of the opportunity and try to see what good comes out of the situation. Fame might take away your private life, but I think the advantages that come with it outweigh the disadvantages, so I will not hope or pray it blows off; instead, I will level up my game to ensure that I keep the fame, as it will be more favorable than letting it just come and go.
