Emotional currency and how it will affect our world.

I welcome you to my blog. Our world has continued to evolve in every aspect and the aspect of money and transaction is not an exception, once upon a time we had a world with no currency or generally accepted means of payments but that did not stop business and transactions from happening, a world with no generally accepted means of payment adopted the trade by barter system of trading where people bring something of equal or same value and then exchange them and then slowly we moved to a world that accepted different things as payments, some cowries and some coins, and today we live in a world where different things are generally accepted as means of payments from crypto, gold, naira, dollar, euros and so many other means of payments.

How about our world evolving to the point where emotions are used as a means of payment? And we no longer need to struggle to get naira, dollars, or euros, as all we need to do is be happy or be sad or harbor hatred in our hearts to be able to make a purchase? What will a world like that look like? Will riches revolve around a certain group of people like we have in our current world, or will riches go round, and will we get to experience more of a decentralized kind of world where everyone has power of their own since all they need is to be able to control their emotions and have more of that particular emotion that is the highest currency?

One thing is sure about humans: we always try to exploit anything at our disposal; we will always try to milk it to a point where there is little or nothing left, sometimes out of greed and sometimes out of curiosity. And a world where emotions are used as a means of payment is not an exception, as people will want more and won't mind faking any emotion that is more expensive just so they can have more for themselves. A world where emotions are used as a means of payment can actually drive our world into chaos, as everyone will try to express emotions, whether real or fake, just to get what they want.

With happiness being the highest or most expensive, we will have a world where it is now difficult to differentiate between who is genuinely happy and who is faking it just to be able to purchase what they want. We will experience more fake happiness than genuine happiness and more fake love than genuine love. In that world, everything tied to emotions will become more fake, with very few genuine ones. You will not be able to detect who loves you genuinely and who is faking it just so they will be able to get what they want. A world where emotions are used as a means of payment is going to be really chaotic and filled with fake emotions.
