Does the cycle of life end after one dies?

Hello, everyone.

Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learner's featured post. There are many who believe that life continues after one dies, meaning that they get to come back in another body, while there are still people who believe that the moment one takes their last breath is the end of life for them until the day of judgment. The argument about if reincarnation is real or not is one that has been on for years. There are people who are willing to argue to the end of the world to support the notion that reincarnation is real, and there are people who would do the same but against the notion.

Basically, reincarnation is the belief that after one dies, they come back to live again but in a different body. Some believe that it can be in the same family and become, say, in a different family. A friend of mine who believes so much in reincarnation would always say, Whenever you have a déjà vu and you don't remember anything about it, like you are completely blank about it, then it must be from your past life and your spirit is trying to remind you that you have lived or experienced that thing before. We have staunch believers, those who even believe that each and every one on the face of the earth is a continuation of someone's past life.

I am not a believer in reincarnation, but I have heard a lot of stories about reincarnation, both from those who believe in it and those who do not. Many people have had firsthand experience of reincarnation; even my mom's family, as one of her brothers is believed to be the reincarnation of their grandfather. According to the story they told us, when their mother was pregnant with him, their grandfather visited the mother in the hospital and made a statement in igbo language: "I will be reborn," he said as he rubbed his hands on their mother's big tummy, and a few weeks later he died in his sleep; he was not sick, just slept at night and did not wake up the next day.

The casket that was used to bury him affected his nose in a way; he had a mark on his forehead and on his left cheek. A few months later, my mom's brother was born, and his nose looked exactly the way that casket affected their grandfather's nose, with the mark on his forehead and his left cheek too. They believe their grandfather truly did reincarnate through their brother.

He was named after the grandfather, and they said when he was still quite small, he kept saying, "I am you people's grandfather." But they always laugh over it since he was only a baby and it might be that he has heard them talk about it, but to some point it might be true that their grandfather actually reincarnated.

I never saw their grandfather, but I have seen pictures of him, and trust me, both of them look exactly the same, the black and white pictures did not stop the resemblance from being visible. The marks on my uncle's face are positioned in the same place, though I did not see the nose after the casket effect, but my uncle's nose looks kind of flat. Not a strong believer in reincarnation, but I feel my uncle's story got me a little bit convinced that it can actually happen.

I'm not a believer in reincarnation as well. Such things only exist to those who believe in them. But then these stories that were shared when we were kids sound so real and true, though.

So many reincarnation story can be convincing, like so real that you start to think it does exist.

Unlike you, I believe in reincarnation. Why? I have read many books and videos about this concept and I have chosen to believe them.

I’m also not a strong believer in reincarnation, but stories like your uncle’s make me wonder if there might be some truth to it. The marks, the resemblance, and the things he said as a child are really hard to ignore. Sometimes, life has a way of surprising us in ways we can't explain.
