Busy Doing Nothing.
Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Some people find it difficult to believe that they can actually be busy doing nothing. That saying does not actually mean you are not doing anything at that time; it simply means you are busy doing the things that add no value to your life or help push you anywhere near your dreams. I think everyone, whether intentionally or unintentionally, has experienced being so busy and even feeling so tired at the end of the day, but if they sit down and reflect on how they actually spent their day, they come to realize that they achieved nothing at all and they just wasted the entire day, week, or month but still feel busy and tired at the end.

Every day we have this or that to do, but in a way we still feel like we are moving in circles and not making any progress at all. Sometimes we put in the effort and not see any results, and then the frustration of wanting more or wanting to see results equivalent to our efforts starts to set in. One can be busy from year to year and not make a single bit of progress; they don't go anywhere near their goals, and they don't achieve a thing, but they actually stay busy, not idle. Some people will want to say it is impossible to stay busy and not make progress, but the truth is that it happens.
One of the ways one can stay busy without making progress is by staying busy doing the wrong things at the wrong time. When I was working on my undergraduate project, I had friends who started on time, so they were done with theirs when I started mine, but since they were done, they made it a habit to bring video games to my room, or they came and forced me out of my room to come play with them. I was doing chapter one of my project for over 3 weeks. Why? The time I was supposed to spend working on my final year project was spent playing video games.
I did not make any progress on my project, but I stayed busy. There was no time I was idle, but I was busy doing the wrong thing. I did not make any progress with my project work, but the rate at which I was busy and felt really tired at the end of every day was second to none. Doing the wrong things can keep you busy but brings about zero progress.

Also giving distractions room is another way to stay busy and make no progress. You can be working on a project, and a Facebook notification pops up, and you decide to reply to just one message since it is coming from your gossip mate and you know it is definitely hot gist. Before you come to the realization, you realize it's been 2 hours and you had your important project on hold, but you still stayed busy. Everything I am sharing here is experience, and I had to learn the hard way when I had to meet a deadline to round up my project work or mark it myself.
This is just the reality of most of us, always so busy with little or nothing to show for it at the end.
It's important to make sure we are doing the right thing at the right time as that's what will make us not just move, but move forward.
Thanks for sharing
