As we journey through life, our beliefs change.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. One thing about life is that we feel there are no changes and everything is just the way it used to be, but if we look back carefully, we will come to realize that there have been so many changes. A lot of things have changed over the years whether these changes are significant or not, all that matters is that over time these changes have been effected in our lives and have helped us grow into better versions of ourselves and have helped us gain more experience in life and how to handle what it throws at us.

Every day I look back at how things were and I compare them with how they are now, and all I can say is thanks to the almighty God for growth and for the changes, though they are not huge changes, but it still counts. Our small changes also show progress. The changes do not have to be huge before we admit that they are actually progress, which is where many people get it wrong. Many have that mindset that for anything to be recorded as a win or for it to call for a celebration, then it has to be huge or big.

As we journey through life daily, we get to learn a thing or two, and these things that we learn end up affecting what we have always believed. We all had things we have always believed in since childhood, things that if we were told a day will come when that strong belief in those things will be no more, we would argue it to the last, but today, as adults, we no longer believe in those things, and it is not because they were wrong theories or wrong in any way but because, as adults, we now see things differently; we now understand things a lot better than we did years ago.

Reflecting on how I was 5 years ago, I can actually confirm that a lot has happened, and all that happened left an impact, and I can confirm that I am no longer the same person from 5 years ago, as even some of the things that I used to believe in, I no longer believe in. For me, one of the things that has changed over the years is my opinion on work life and how important it is to balance it. I have seen people who have little or no time for fun, not even time with family, as they spend most of their time working, and in the end, this habit affects their friendships and relationships.

I used to believe that success is measured by the amount of work you put in, so you should be like the people I talked about above, those who put in the work 24 hours in 7 days. Now I have grown older, and I have seen how this affects one's life and how it's possible to put in the work and still have nothing to show for it; therefore, we need to balance our work life, make time for personal life, and spend time with family and friends. It will help you.

It really is important to balance work life and have a social life. And I’m glad that’s something you’ve come to know over time.
