90% Of Reality TV Shows Passes No Message.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learner's featured post. When we look around us, we see that technology continues to evolve, and now we have access to more things than we can count, but it is disheartening to see that 90% of humans are using this technological evolution wrongly or for the wrong things. Today we have so many reality TV shows we can watch from the comfort of our homes, but many of these TV shows carry no message or relevance; they just promote immorality and a lifestyle that puts the average man under pressure.

With the evolvement of technology and how far it has come, one can actually benefit a lot if they use it right, but it is not so, as almost everything that we come across both online and offline about technology is just those things that point you in the wrong direction. One can easily come across those things that point us in the wrong direction, while those that we actually need for self-growth and self-development are difficult to come by.

Reality TV shows like Big Brother Naija, which is a famous one in my country and makes waves whenever they are about to start, leave me asking, what does this show promote? What does it teach? Why are people overhyping the show? Why are people so interested in the show? Because left for me my answer to all of these questions is the same thing, the show only promotes immorality, fashion, beauty and a kind of lifestyle that an average person who allows it to get to them sees as pressure, nothing else, there is nothing good to learn from this particular TV show, I know there are TV shows out there that can help shape individuals but sadly they don't make waves like these once that teaches nothing.

I have never been interested in the Big Brother Naija show; for once, I have never followed it. One time I was at a football viewing centre on a Sunday when they went for halftime break, and one of the men who are freaked out about the Big Brother Naija show took the remote and tuned into the channel, and they were having a party, and I was left wondering, is this what many of my neighbours use to put on for them and their kids to watch and follow every day until the end of the season? One time on X I also saw a short clip, and they said it was from South Africa's Big Brother Mzansi, and what I saw there too cannot be unseen, but I wish it was possible to unsee it.

Reality TV shows like Big Brother Naija just end up making people with no real substance famous, which is why many of them, after the show, have nothing to offer, and they just disappear into thin air, and no one hears about them again. It gives them the fame, but since they have nothing to offer in order to keep the fame, it is only a matter of time, and they just stop trending, and no one even remembers their name again. Give people with substance fame and see what they will do with it and how their name will trend forever.

If I were to vote on whether reality TV shows like Big Brother Naija that only promote immorality, fashion and a lifestyle an average man cannot afford should be banned or still allowed to be aired, I would definitely vote that they should be banned and banned for good. What I saw that day still baffles me. Parents will tune in and sit around as a family and have both them and their kids enjoy things like that? I have people in my neighborhood who even if there is no power supply are ready to spend their last money on fuel just so they can follow the show up every night. A show that adds no relevance to one's life, shows like that should be banned and technology used for things that benefit mankind better.

Reality TV is everywhere on social media and it is not adding value to people's but it's promoting immorality and indecency in our society. Which some of the reality TV should be banned totally. Thank you.

Very correct about that BBN for us in Nigeria. I also believe that some people have benefited alot from it and it also has a way of polluting the society with all that is displayed there.

The reality shows don't pass any message and even worse they don't tell people a disclaimer that everything that's being shared was edited, has cuts.

They don't share any vital information, they just put it out there and lead people astray.

Thanks for stopping by.

The hyping is the annoying part truly and aside the head of house games or other games, there's any other reasonable thing about the show to be proud of
