Creative Sunday ~ Join me on how to make Semovita
Hello Friends! Happy creative Sunday. And I hope we all are having a good day. It’s another Sunday where I will showing us how to make some special Nigerian foods and Ofcourse, one of the things I like love doing is cooking.
Today, I’ll be showing us How to make Semovita. It’s a kind of meal most african( Nigerian) home makes mostly for dinner. Semovita is made from a fine quality wheat that is very nutritious for us. I personally love this meal so much.
There are different ways of making Semovita. Some people makes Semo pancakes from it, some make Semo-balls with it, infact some make Semo-fries and so many other things but I will be making morsel(swallow) today.
First of all, I placed a pot of water on fire and waited till it gets boiling at 100 degrees. While the boiling water was on fire, I made a paste of Semovita in a small bowl till it brought out a paste look. After that, I poured in the paste into the boiling water and I continue to stir till it got no lumps.
After stirring for some minutes, I waited till it got thickened enough to pour in raw Semovita and I kept Turning till it’s thick enough, then I added a little hot water to stir well without any lumps. Then Semovita is ready.
We can eat Semovita with different type of Nigerian soup. But I’ll be eating mine with Egusi soup.
Thanks for coming through my blog.
I love you all and happy Sunday once again!!
