I saw the weekly prompt that talks about; something you never learned but could do conveniently, it could be talent, skills or anything

FASHION

At first, I never believed I had a talent. I'd seat down and get confused, wondering what I'll become after secondary school, what would I be, or what skills I'd learn, I remember saying I'll become a banker in the future, lol little did I know life has other plans. I never knew I had a hidden talent. I remember when i was eight years old, my mom bought me a doll, I noticed the doll came with only one outfit, so I thought I'd add some more clothes for it ( children's mentality😂). so I visited one of the tailor shops close by, I would pick fabric pieces from the waste bin and use needle and thread to create different types of outfit for the doll. I kept doing it without even realizing what I was creating.

At the age of 12, I visited my friend's mom's salon, when a customer played a video on using wrappers to style dresses, inspiration struck and I couldn't explain where the ideas came from, I took wrapper from my friend's shop, and started styling it, creating even more designs than I saw in the video. I was surprised by my creativity. I wasn't taught it came naturally. I figured out my talent at the age of 18 when my cousin sister said she wasn't interested in fashion, so I decided to give it a try. I started sewing with needle and thread I was amazed by what i was doing.

my uncle sent me money for training and the surprising part was that i started April. Before two months passed, in may, I made my own clothes my teacher was shocked that she asked if I had learned how to sew before, I told her 'no'. A woman told me I should hold onto this talent tightly and take it seriously because it's already in me. Now, it's become a passion that I never want to let go of.

Another talent of mine is drawing, I started drawing as a little girl and didn't learn it from anyone, it came naturally. but I didn't take it seriously, all I knew was that it was fun. Girls in my class would ask me to draw for them and people in my neighborhood too. It was fun for me. when i realize my drawings were not just any kind of drawing, it was about sketching designs, whenever a style popped into my head, I sketch and bring it to life. I started falling in love with it.

I sketch every day so I don't forget the designs that are popping into my head. when a lady saw my sketch and she was in awe and told me I'm really talented and all those sketches I've drawn look real. what fits me is meeting celebrities and showcasing my talent. I will go places with this. I told her 'Amen'. My passion for fashion has really grown and it's become part of me.

I made the hair myself

As for hairstyling, I didn't learn how to make hair from anyone. I picked it up by observing their hands and following every step, practicing on my doll and mom before I started making hair for people in secondary school and my neighbors but being a hairstylist wasn't my dream.

DESIGNS

My dream is to become a fashion designer because I saw the love and passion I have for it. I knew it was part of my world. With my talent, I'm ready to explore the fashionworld and showcase my creativity and passion for style.
