As long as Machine Learning applications like ChatGPT continue to receive the misnomer "AI", we'll be safe :)
One common misconception about ML and current "AI" is that they possess human-like general intelligence and understanding of the world, when in reality they are specialized tools designed to perform specific tasks based on patterns and data.
It's a fascinating topic. The development has been break-neck, but we've still got a ways to go.

Yes you are correct! they are made by humans! The problem is when someone develop a tool that can think and create other tools to solve these problems... that's when we fall into the matrix!
