Urban Vs Rural: My preference
Majority of the times, an individual's behaviour, perspective of things, beliefs as most especially, mentality, is greatly influenced by the environment they grew up in.
Kids from the cities have a different perspective from the kids that grew up in the village. Majority of people that live in the village believe in growing food for themselves. Their food expenses is majorly focused on things that they can not grow. Aside that, every other thing can be gotten from their farms and gardens. Though not every village resident has the opportunity of owning a farm.
Conversely, those that live in the cities have a different way of acquiring their basic needs. They pay for literally everything they use - water, gas, electricity, fuel, e.t.c.
Cities are full of shinny places. Rural areas are too busy to wait for any one. Over there, time is money. Nobody has the leverage to waste any second as everybody is busy trying to enlarge their bank account so as to be able to afford more than their basic needs.
Both Urban and Rural areas have advantages and disadvantages. One of the advantages of rural areas is technological advancement. Though Urban areas have good technology, it's not as advanced as that which can be found in rural areas.
This post is an entry for hive learners prompt, Urban or Rural. In this prompt, I would share my perspective of both places in terms of permanent residence. I would share which I prefer, and the reason why I'm not currently residing in my preferred location.
When the context is about permanent place of residence, there are quite a few things I like to put into consideration before making a choice.
Both rural and urban areas are really great places to reside in. The advanced technology in cities make it more tempting to reside in. Compared to rural areas, the security level in cities is a lot more higher. Safety is ensured.
However, one of the disadvantages of staying in big cities is that it can be really noisy at times. One of the major factor I will love to consider before making the decision of staying in an Urban or Rural area irrespective of the security level of both places, is my age.
As of now, staying in rural area is a no for me because I think that, at this stage of my life, I need to explore diverse things, and try diverse things in order to enlarge my coast. The major reason why I reside in a city now is because I'm actively looking for ways to enlarge my coast. I see cities as a place where somebody can hustle, explore and meet new people. Conversely, rural areas are place for resting and enjoying natural environments irrespective of how insecure it may seem to be.
At this stage of life, I prefer to stay in the city. However, later in life, I'll love to migrate to village area because of the peace and quite it brings.
So, the major thing that is stopping me from staying in the village area is not because of the insecurity or something, however, it is because I have not yet gotten everything I need.

Yes I know that the perspective and exposure isn't the same for urban and rural kids but I think rural areas have a kind of knowledge it gives which is not available in the cities especially when it comes to natural stuffs
True.. there are things that can be learnt in rural area that can't be taught in urban areas.
