Social Media Monetization
The advent of social media platforms has brought quite a lot of opportunities to the doorstep of many people. Social media is a game changer that redefined the ways many things are done, especially, in the world of entertainment.

Millions are made from consistently posting videos on social midia platforms which is a good thing, but then, in the long run, it seems like social media is affecting the society in quite a number of ways.
Weighing the positive and negative impact of social media, it's quite difficult to say which impact of social media in the society out weighs the other. Maybe the positive impact of social media to the community outweighs the negative impact, I can't say for sure, however, one thing I know is that the negative impact of social media to the community and society at large should not be overlooked.
Maybe in the nearest future, social media will be seen as a profession just like nursing, lawyers e.t.c. Nowadays, when someone say they make and post YouTube videos for a living, people tend to look at them with admiration. The first question that comes to mind is, How many followers do you have?
This post is an entry for hive learners prompt, Monetization. In this prompt, I will share my perspective on social media Monetization.
Personally, aside from web 3 social media, I'm not really a huge fan of social media platforms. Though I have heard a lot of stories of how social media has made people very rich, I don't really see myself going into content creation for any reason.

Social media monetization is actually a very good step to ensure that these platforms get a lot of traffics. With more traffics comes opportunities for the platforms to advertise things for business. These ads can be quite annoying but then, it's one of the ways which the social media app use to generate income. Another way they generate income is by asking users to pay for premium packages so that they will not see ads.
Social media monetization has helped a whole lot of people in life. Many people have make content creation as their full time job because these social media apps have quite a good pay.
One thing about this Monetization is that it has lead many content creators to make contents that are not really nice. People can do anything just to get engagement in their page. Some do fake giveaways, while some people intentionally start fights just so that their comment section will be hot.
Content creation is a nice thing, but then, some content creators go to the extreme. Nowadays, people come out to busy roads to dance in the name of creating contents. Welp, I guess everyone has their hustle.
I think content creation is actually making people lazy to pursue actual work. Nowadays, people don't want to work for another person and receive a pay because there is social media. I think their mindset is that, they want to be their own boss.
I don't think there is anyone who wants to be working for another person for the rest of their life. However, instead of putting all focus on social media content creation, I think it's best to have a job, and put spare time into creating content, and invest wages from the job into something that will provide passive income.
