My Gratitude

As fast as the year went, many people try everything possible to accomplish everything they set out to get. Some were successful while some were not. Also, some people were semi-successful, but nonetheless, the gift of life and good health is a good reassurance that more can be done to reach the goals that was set.

This year brought both good and bad times to our door step. Many people won, many people lost, and many people (good friends) were lost. Death came, took, and brought sadness to the faces of many people. Birth came, gave and brought happiness the the lives of many people. Jobs were gotten, jobs were lost.

The waves of life is one unpredictable thing that hits really hard. When reality knocks, genjutsu vanishes. This year, life was really cruel to some, but it was smooth to some people.

Just like many people, I had small wins this year. I lost some things too, and I also gained quite an ugly experience too. A good friend of mine died. For the first time in my life, I was invited to the police station for questioning (somebody threatened to stab me with a knife, and still called the cops on me. Lol.. After everything, I was advice by the cops to press charges. Anyways, this is not what this post is all about).

This post is about gratitude. Its a response to Scifi Multiverse prompt, A HEART OF GRATIUTIDE AND APPRECIATION. In this post, I will share my gratitude to some persons on/off hive that impacted me in one way or the other.

I am a Christian, so, my first gratitude goes to the creator for the gift of life. I faced near death experiences this year. I had a gun pointed to the back of my head, and was ordered to empty my pocket contents. Fortunately, when I turned around to see who pointed the gun at me, the person asked his companions to leave me alone and go. What if I was shot that day? What if he mistakenly pulled the trigger? I would have been deep underground by now. Thanks be to the giver of life, Jehovah, I'm still here.

My gratitude goes to me, myself, and I. Its been just me all through the year. This year made me believe in my strength. I understood my capacity. This year made me believe that I can move mountains. I don't consider the little I have, as achievements which is the major reasons why I don't celebrate my small wins. On a regular, I live in a action-reward way. If I accomplish a task or an action, I reward myself by doing what I want. So, i think that is enough celebration and rewards.
