HOW TO MAKE A SIMPLE PEN HOLDER WITH PAPER.

Hi friends.

For a while now, my pen, pencils and markers have been in my bags, which is taking up some space for other important things.

I got an idea to make a penholder for my biro and other Writting materials.

I got the material necessary for making the penholder. They include:

  • Two cardboard paper
  • Scissors for cutting
  • Biro for marking before I cut
  • Ruler for measuring before I made a cut.
  • Glue to glue the pieces together
  • Marker
  • Lastly, music. Hehe

After I gathered the materials I needed, I got to work immediately.

I took the first cardboard paper, the blue one, placed it on the floor ( i prefer to do it on the floor. It feels comfortable there).

Next, I marked the measurements on the cardboard paper. I was very careful to mark correctly, so as to avoid mistakes.

Next, With the aid of my scissors, I gently made a decent cut on the marks, to bring out the square.
It was actually a nice cut.

Next, I began to do the folding.

I folded the square into two halves.
Then, I opened the cardboard paper, and I folded it into another two halves, but this time, in the other direction, as seen in the image above.

Next step was that;

I got one end of the paper, and I folded it inwards until it reached the center of the paper. I also got the other end of the cardboard paper, an I folded it inwards until I got an "A" shape.

I turned the cardboard paper, with the front (where I folded to get the "A" shape), facing down.

I folded the bottom. I made a first fold to reach the begining of the othr fold I did before.
I then folded it again, so that i get a double fold.

This made it have two hands.

I made sure to fold the shape in two halfs, till both hands were touching each other from the back.

From the back, I folded the right hand halfway, and I also folded the left halfway.

After that, I gently tucked in both of the hands into each other.

I cut a piece from the white cardboard paper into a small rectangle shape.

I tucked this in-between the two hands, I made sure that i did it gently, so as to avoid wrinkles on the cardboard paper.
Next, I folded the tucked in rectangle shape, forwards, into the hollow part of the penholder.

The results of this process, is what you see above.

I needed about three of this, so, I repeated the same process. Making sure that i got the exact same measurements, to avoid one penholder being bigger or smaller than the other.

The next thing I did:

Was to use the binding power of the glue, to glue each of the shapes together.

At this point, the penholder is almost finished.

Next, I cut a bottom for the shapes. This was so that the pen I put in it, will remain in it.

Next, I glued them to the bottom.

The results is the image below 👇
