Hive Keychain - The App That Made Hiving Easier

There are a lot of applications out there in the internet, numbering in thousands and probably millions, listed in different application stores, including play store, app store, chrome extensions and the rest. Some are not even listed on these web stores and are made for personal use.

Though an individual can not consistently use all of the applications in their life time, they can use the application that is required for a particular task as each mobile app has a subjective significant role it plays in accomplishing a given task.

Personally, I am not actually a mobile app person. I prefer to do everything in web but then, some times, I have to compromise and use the app version of some software if the web is unavailable.
I'm was not always like this though, but then, I guess the more I interacted with the web version of things, I became more attached to using it rather than applications.

I know people that knows me to an extent would expect me to mention applications like MT5, trading view, deriv, e.t.c as the applications that made life easier for me, but then, that's not the case. Infact, these apps changed me, most especially, my mindset. I think the change is a good change though.

Being a hiver that spends a lot of time clicking one link or the other and pasting my posting keys to some of these sites, I do find it difficult to constantly copy and paste my keys manually. Coupled with the fact that I control a few accounts, it can be a very big headache to paste keys manually.

Using Google Chrome password auto save can be a good option, but then, I don't really trust Google with my information. Also, a scammer can hack my Gmail and they will get all my passwords, so, Google auto-save passwords is a No for me.

One application that made life as a hiver very easier for me is hive keychain. There are other applications that do what hive keychain does, like hiveauth, but then, hive keychain is actually very different and it's features are really cool.

One of the many features I use in hive keychain is the automatic login and transaction signing without the need of copying and pasting my keys. I could have all my accounts logged in to give keychain and use all of them without passing through the stress of copying and pasting my keys when I want to log in.

Another feature that I love about hive keychain is it's ability to allow people log in to your account without actually having your keys. It's like giving authority to another person to post with your account or sign transactions with your account, without actually having to give them your keys.

Though a third-party is required for this, like authman, or hive tasks. I think this is a very cool feature. Because of this feature, I don't need to give people keys to my community accounts, instead, I give them authority over the account. I can remove the authority anytime I want without changing my keys.

I actually prefer hive keychain extension though because like I said earlier, I prefer web version of things to the mobile applications.

Thank you for reading

Oooh, I didn't know someone else can log into my account without having my keys. I think it's cool because the authority can be revoked when there's trust issues without the person having the keys.

Keychain is awesome

Loved your opening because truly, no matter how many apps steal our hearts, we'll always have one or two that we prioritize over others. I'm glad keychain is that application that has given you a different view of how good technology can be. With this post, I've learned about a feature I didn't know existed within the app and I think I'll be exploring the UI to see what else I'm ignorant about. Thanks for sharing this lovely post.
