Defining Life's Purpose
There are lots of things that are happening in this world we live in. Everyday, we see the good, the bad and the ugly, but still, against all odds, many people are trying to make it out successful.
For the average person, success is all about making money, getting fortune and fame. Their mindset is fixated on ways which they can become financially free. Most times, in the course of trying to get the fortune and fame, they loss important relationships. Their good friends and well wishers are, most times, lost during this process.
Many people has asked themselves about their purpose in life. Sometimes i just seat alone to ask myself some thought provoking questions which will bury me deep in thoughts. Why are we born if we are going to die at the end? Whats the purpose of the life we lead? is it to be born, make money, get married and die? After death, what next? Who is the mastermind behind all these life and death cycle?.. These questions are endless. When i start think of it, i usually get loss in my thoughts.
Babies are very innocent but still, some of them die due to one reason or the other. They are deprived from witnessing what life has to offer. I can't help it but ask myself, what are all these things all about? I remember the first day i witnessed a patients death in the hospital. I was not myself throughout that day. When i was performing last office, I felt nothing. My heart was just there, devoid of emotions. I just did my nursing intervention and left for the next patient. Why didn't i feel a thing? You may ask. Well, I can't answer that question up till date.
Over the past few years, i have think deeply about the purpose of life, but i don't seem to come up with a good logical answer to my questions. I guess when i read some posts here in this community, i may grasp something from their perspective. Anyways, here are my thoughts.
I'm still not yet experienced in the things of life, but then, I know that we all need a purpose in life. The big question is - What is our purpose in life? Why do we live.
Welp, though inexperienced, I have come to the end of myself to realize that every individual has diverse purpose in life. Irrespective of our diverse concerns and thoughts running through our minds, I think we are to make our own purpose in life. It is in our hands to define our existence. We should live by our definition to the fullest and make sure that we enjoy every loses and wins while bagging solid experience from every situation.
I feel like our purpose in life is to live our lives as we see fit. If you want to have fun, and party all night, thats the purpose you choose for yourself. Again, if you feel like helping people, doing good, and leading a righteous life, then that is your own purpose.
