An Opportunity To Talk TO My Younger Self
Life is filled with many things. There are good things, and there are also bad things. We live through the thick and thin but only the strongest come out successful. It is a survival of the fittest where being fit is not enough to win in life.
To learn how to surf the waves of life is no easy task. Mistakes are made in the process of growing and developing and these mistakes add up to give us some experience on how to not make similar mistakes.
Instead of learning the lessons that comes with a mistake and moving on to the next phase of life, some people allow their mistakes to eat them up, thus, leaving them stagnated in one phase of life for a long time. Some people actually pull themselves together, learn their mistakes and go forward in life.
As inexperienced as I am, I still don't know what to make of life. All I know is that I'm living, and hustling to make life easier for me in the future. Also, I'm hustling to give my unborn kids and wife to be, a very stress free life in the future. Who knows? Maybe with time, I would gain profound understanding about life but for now, I live by the little I know.
There are many things I would love to communicate with my younger self about if I had the opportunity. If I could go back in time, I would tell my younger self to buy bitcoin and tesla. Lol. But all this same. This post is an entry for India united contest, If You Could Talk to your Younger Self?. In this post, I would write on what I would love to talk to my younger self about, if I had the opportunity to do so.
There are different types of people in life. There are some people that don't dwell in the past no matter the mistakes they made. They just look for solutions to their mistakes and if there is none, they look for the way forward, learn the lessons and forget the event that took place without feeling a trace of guilt or something. Again, there are also another type of people that will keep thinking of the past even though they have gotten a solution to fix their mistake. They allow guilt get to them, thus, they will always feel like going back in time to stop themselves from making that mistake.
If I had an opportunity to go back in time and talk to my young self, I don't think I would want to take that opportunity. Yes, I would really want to talk to my young self, but then, this action will probably disrupt the present and future.
There are actually some mistakes I would love to correct. Lots of them, but then, I think those mistakes I made are part of the things that make up my personality. I love the personality I have. Though I have flaws, I am trying to change. The past is lost, and even if i have the opportunity to find it, I would not. Its better to remain in the present, and enjoy it to the max than to seek communication with my younger self.

You mad a very important point when you said going back will totally disrupt the future you are in. That's true .
We can only reflect and wish we did better and try to implement the much we can now
Sometimes, it is nice to keep going forward while carrying the lessons of the past with you
What truly matters is now. As long as we keep working to do better, we will be just fine.

Some people fail to live in the present because they are either too busy thinking of the past or thinking of what the future holds. By doing so, they miss the beautiful moments and experiences that the present has to offer.
That’s true.

I so much love your perspective about this topic, as dwelling in the past might affect the present and the future as well. Thanks for sharing.
