4 Advice To Newbies
Hive is a very interesting place that comprises of nice people. Many people join, many people go, some people return, but one thing that remains and stands strong is its decentralization and transparency which is one of my favorite feature of hive.
Another amazing thing about hive is that it welcomes newbies and teaches them how to navigate through its complex (as many newbies call it) interfaces. One major thing that troubles many newbies, including me, when i joined newly, is that hive has a lot of things to learn. You may feel you now most things but when you talk to other hivers, you will find out that your knowledge is not as vast as you think.

Though not a hive pro, based on the theme of India United Community contest, there are a handful of advices i would love to spare for hive newbies.
To the best of my knowledge, there are diverse aspects of hive. A person can be a hive blogger, hive witness, gamer, singer, or any part they see fit.
I think a newbie needs to understand not just the basics (upvote, downvotes, comments e.t.c), but they should also know some advanced aspects of hive like what witnesses do and how to vote for a witness, tribal tokens, hive frontends, proposals, e.t.c . They should make guided research on understanding hive ecosystem to a very good extent. This way, they would really know what hive is all about and how it works. Mostly, FAQs can help with this.
I will also advice newbies to know which community to post in and at what time to make their post so that they will not post in the right community at the wrong time. Also, When they join a community, they should first go through the community rules, and description and also they should familiarize themselves with the community.
Another important thing i will advice newbies is securing their hive keys. True, its difficult to memorize, however, its not too difficult to hack a google account and copy the keys. I will advice newbies to get a memory card and store their keys there. or better-still, use hive keychain on their mobile or pc. By so doing, they will save themselves, from many uncertainties like misplaced or stolen keys.
Though people don't really do this often, there is a lot of goodies that comes with engagement. It seems like nothing, but a hive user that honestly engages with other people will easily grow when compared to another user that don't engage. In this space, engagement is key, so, i will advice a newbie to engage with others more often.
Though building ones account sounds like a personal growth, I will advice newbies to build their account. When it comes to voting, a persons account HP gives them more influence, so, i will advice them to grow their HP and support other users through engagements and voting. Voting on other peoples post is a win-win, so, i will advice newbies to vote their favorite posts.

Many people may not know this, but proper use of tags could get your post to the right audience. It can also fetch you some tribal token rewards based on the tags used. Also, i will advice newbies to be careful not to abuse these tags.
Though not many people look at how well a post is arranged, i will also advice them on the proper use of mark down and citations. I will advice them against the use of AI and plagiarism.
