I never imagined that a poor old man, with a skeletal body and seemingly dehydrated, could become such a powerful and indestructible figure. Putting his carefully crafted Kamehameha into practice. It's crazy! It's something you have to see to compare it. I invite you to continue with the Dragon Ball saga, volume two now. It's something that shocked me. I underestimated him without a second thought. The truth is, I feel like I'm delving deep into this very interesting character named Roshi.

Nunca imaginé que un pobre ancianito, con un cuerpo esquelético y que aparentaba estar deshidratado, pudiera convertirse en todo un gran personaje poderoso e indestructible. Poniendo en práctica su tan cuidado Kamehameha. ¡Es una locura! Es algo que hay que ver para poder compararlo. Los invito a continuar con la saga Dragón Ball, volumen dos ahora. Es algo que me impactó. Yo lo subestimé sin pensarlo dos veces. La verdad es que siento que me estoy metiendo en lo profundo de este personaje tan interesante llamado Roshi.

Recall that Goku and the daughter of the guardian of Fire Mountain set out to find Master Roshi on his island, as it was the only way to put out the fire. The guardian's idea came to him. Upon discovering where the monkey-tailed boy came from and who trained him to defend himself, Ox Satan himself had been Roshi's disciple.
That's why he knows about the grandfather's power, and as a result, he recommends the boys ask Master Roshi for the green fan to put out the fire. So they did. Goku, along with Ox Satan's daughter, set off for the island where Master Roshi lives. Of course, they left on the flying cloud.

Recordemos que Goku y la hija del guardián de la montaña de fuego, salieron a buscar al maestro Roshi, a su isla, pues era la única alternativa para apagar el fuego. La idea fue del guardián. Al descubrir de dónde provenía el niño de cola de mono y quién lo entrenó para la defensa. El mismo Ox Satán había sido discípulo de Roshi.
Por eso conoce el poder del abuelo y producto de ello, es que recomienda a los chicos que le pidan al maestro Roshi el abanico verde, para acabar con el fuego. Así lo hicieron, Goku junto a la hija de Ox Satán, emprendieron viaje, hacia la isla donde vive el maestro Roshi. Por supuesto, se fueron en la nube voladora.

So they did. Goku and the daughter of Ox Satan set off for the island where Master Roshi lives. Of course, they left on the flying cloud.
It turned out that upon arriving, they told him what they were looking for and why, but unfortunately, the master had thrown away his magic fan, which he was using as a tablecloth. He then told them he would go personally, of course, on the condition that Bulma let him touch her breasts. Like a perverted, dirty old man, he put Goku in that position, which he would hardly understand. Then Roshi called his transport. It was a flying turtle. So they set off for the mountain of fire.

Así lo hicieron, Goku junto a la hija de Ox Satán, emprendieron viaje, hacia la isla donde vive el maestro Roshi. Por supuesto, se fueron en la nube voladora.
Resultó que al llegar, le plantearon lo que iban a buscar y por qué, pero lamentablemente, el maestro, había botado su abanico mágico, pues lo usaba como mantel. Entonces les dijo que iría él personalmente, claro, con la condición de que Bulma lo dejara tocar sus pechos, como todo un depravado y viejo verde, puso a Goku en ese compromiso, de lo cual poco entendería. Luego Roshi, llamó a su transporte. Era una tortuga voladora. Así que partieron hacia la montaña de fuego.

Upon arrival, Ox Satan greets them and addresses Grandfather with respect and fear. Grandfather rebukes him, saying he doesn't deserve any favors because he has killed so many innocent people out of his greed. Satan then humbles himself and promises that he will be another if Grandfather manages to free his castle from the fire. He has faith in Grandfather because he knows him and also because of the powers he possesses.

Al llegar los recibe Ox Satán, se dirige al abuelo con respeto y temor. Porque el abuelo le reclama, y dice que no merece ningún favor porque ha matado a mucha gente inocente por su avaricia. Entonces satán se humilla y le promete que será otro, si el abuelo logra liberar del fuego a su castillo. Él tiene fe en el Abuelo porque lo conoce y también por los poderes que posee.

When Master Roshi arrives, analyzes the situation, and decides to be the one to put out the fire, everyone is left waiting to see how he'd do it. They doubt he'll be able to do it for obvious reasons. But suddenly, they see the old man's slow transformation into a super-muscled man with a strong demeanor only seen in the series' villains. Everyone present is left waiting to see the results.

Cuando el Maestro Roshi, llega, analiza la situación y decide ser él, quien acabe con el fuego, todos quedan a la expectativa de saber ¿cómo lo haría?, dudan de que lo pueda hacer por razones obvias. Pero de pronto ven la transformación pausada del viejo, en un hombre supermusculoso y con un porte de fortaleza que solo se nota en los malos de la serie. Esperando a ver los resultados quedan todos los presente.

So Master Roshi continues with his purpose: to put out the fire. But before doing so, he reminds Goku of the condition for doing so. And it's a commitment to Bulma. She rebels, and Grandpa tells her he won't put out the fire unless they meet the condition he asks, the shameless, scoundrel, dirty, perverted old man. She had no choice but to say yes, but before she could please him, she wants to see the mountain extinguished.

Así que el maestro Roshi, continúa con su propósito. Ir a apagar el fuego. Pero antes, le recuerda a Goku la condición para hacerlo. Y es un compromiso con Bulma. Ella se rebela y el abuelo le dice que no apagará el fuego, si no cumplen con la condición que pide, el muy descarado, sinvergüenza, viejo verde, y pervertido. No le quedó más remedio que decirle que sí, pero antes de complacerlo, ella quiere ver la montaña apagada.

Now he's ready to put out that fire. But everyone looks at them and comments, thinking of a rickety old man, who seems to have no strength left, and you can see his skeleton. It's terrible to see him climb that wall.
But suddenly... A monster emerges from within that seemingly weak body, something that seems to have come from another world. It's a giant, burly man who transforms himself through an exercise of concentration. The result is a Kamehameha. That's what they call it when he unleashes all that concentrated force within his mind and body. It's something too fantastic and indescribable.

Ahora sí que va dispuesto a apagar ese fuego. Pero todos los miran y comentan, pensando en un viejito raquítico, que parece que no tuviera fuerzas y se le ve el esqueleto. Es terrible verlo subirse a ese muro.
Pero de pronto … Surge dentro de ese cuerpo tan débil a la vista, un monstruo, algo que parece venido de otro mundo. Es un gigante y fornido hombre que se transforma haciendo un ejercicio de concentración. El resultado es un Kamehameha. Así lo llaman al descargar toda esa fuerza concentrada dentro de su mente y cuerpo. Es algo demasiado fantástico e indescriptible.

How is such a change possible in a matter of seconds! What happened for that muscle-less old man to transform into that indestructible figure pronouncing those syllables? What do they mean? I'm left wondering, honestly.
You and I have just learned how powerful this Master Roshi is, aside from being immortal. No wonder. Anyone who sees him sitting on a bench, bringing sunshine to his island, would think he's a holy dove. Incredible! I can't get over my amazement.

¡Cómo es posible semejante cambio en cuestión de segundos! ¿Qué pasó para que ese viejo sin músculos se transformara en ese personaje indestructible pronunciando esas sílabas?, ¿Qué será lo que significan? Me quedo con esa duda, la verdad.
Ustedes y yo, acabamos de conocer lo poderoso que es este maestro Roshi, aparte de inmortal. No es para menos. Quien lo ve sentado en un banco llevando sol en su isla, creería que es una santa palomita. ¡Increíble! No salgo de mi asombro.

The fact is that the Kamehameha was so powerful that it escaped Grandpa's grasp and not only extinguished the fire, but also destroyed everything around and inside the castle.
He, Ox Satan, complained that he no longer had a castle, but his daughter Chi-chi calmed him down and told him they would build another one.
Goku was still in awe, especially when he asked the master to teach him, and the master told him it was difficult, as it would take about 50 years to train him.

El caso es que fue tan grande el Kamehamehaa, que se escapó de las manos del abuelo y no solo apagó el fuego, sino que destruyó todo lo que estaba alrededor y dentro del castillo.
Él, Ox Satán se quejaba porque ya no tenía castillo, pero su hija Milk, lo tranquilizó y le dijo que construirían otro.
Aún no salía del asombro, sobre todo Goku, quien le pidió al maestro que lo enseñará y el maestro le dijo que eso era difícil, pues tardaría entrenarlo unos 50 años.

The young Son Goku, optimistic and daring as ever, began practicing it, and suddenly, boom! The Kamehameha erupted from his body and hands. It was so strong that it damaged the car, so where are the three supposed to continue, searching for the missing ball? Because, gentlemen, I can tell you, there's only one Dragon Ball left, if they can find the one from the castle. The search was a success, especially with the radar that only Bulma knows and uses.
Immediately, everyone was amazed to see how strong Goku was. So much so that Grandpa asked Satan who the boy was. Satan confirmed where the boy came from. Roshi then offered to train him at his house. Everyone was astonished by Son Goku's Kamehameha.

El niño Son Goku, optimista y atrevido como siempre, se puso a practicarlo y de pronto ¡Zas! Salió el Kamehamehaa de su cuerpo y manos. Era tan fuerte que dañó el auto, dónde se supone, seguirán los tres, en busca de la otra bola que falta. Porque, señores, les participo, que ya solo faltaría una sola Esfera del Dragón, si se consigue la del castillo. Un éxito la búsqueda, sobre todo con el radar que solo maneja y conoce Bulma.
Enseguida todos, asombrados, vieron lo fuerte de Goku. Tanto, que el abuelo preguntó a Satán que quién era el niño. Satán le confirmó de dónde provenía el niño. Entonces Roshi, le ofreció entrenarlo en su casa. Todos quedaron atónitos con el kamehamehaa, de Son Goku.

After this interesting moment, Grandpa asked Goku about his agreement with Bulma. She got upset about this because Goku had made the commitment without her knowing. Then, all nervous, she called Ullong to replace her and become her. She also told Ullong to keep his promise. Ullong looked like a female pig with bunny ears. Bulma threatened Ullong that if he didn't, she would call him with the magic word to make him go to the bathroom quickly. He had no choice but to obey. What he did was, to annoy Bulma even more, he gave the old man more than he asked for. And then that old man went completely crazy, the depraved man. When Bulma found out about this, she almost fainted because her reputation was at stake. But there was nothing she could do.

Pasando esto tan interesante, el abuelo preguntó a Goku, por el acuerdo con Bulma. Ella, se molestó con esto, porque Goku, se comprometió sin ella saberlo. Entonces, ella, toda nerviosa, llamó a Ullong para que la sustituyera y se convirtiera en ella. También le dijo a Ullong, que cumpliera con el compromiso. Ullong parecía un cerdito mujer y con orejas de coneja. Bulma, amenazo a Ullong con que, de no hacerlo, le llamaría con la palabra mágica para hacerlo ir al baño rápido. A este, no le quedó más remedio, que obedecer. Lo que hizo fue, que para molestar más a Bulma, le dio al viejo a probar más de lo pedido. Y entonces ese viejo se volvió como loco, el muy depravado. Cuando Bulma se entera de esto, casi se desmaya, porque su reputación estaba en juego. Pero ya no había nada que hacer.

She went to search among the rubble for the sphere the radar had indicated would be there, and she found it. After a shout of joy, she began checking the radar again to see which direction they would be heading when leaving this destroyed castle. This was Dragon Ball number six. Now they only needed one more to complete the seven and be able to see the magic dragon.

Ella fue a buscar entre los escombros la esfera que el radar le había indicado, estaría en ese lugar y la encontró. Después de dar un grito de alegría, comenzó a revisar de nuevo el radar para ver la dirección que llevarían al salir de este castillo destrozado. Esta fue la esfera del Dragón número 6. Ahora solo les faltaría una para completar las siete y lograr ver al dragón mágico.

Anyway, they said their goodbyes, but because of Goku's kamehameha, they no longer had any transportation and would have to leave on foot. At that moment, the Ox Satan gave them his old vehicle in gratitude. So they set off. On the other hand, the desert thieves, Yamcha and Puar, were hiding, as always, watching out for the Balls once they'd collected them.

En fin, se despidieron, pero por el kamehameha de Goku, ya no tenían transporte y les tocaría irse a pie. En ese momento, el Ox Satán les obsequió su viejo vehículo en agradecimiento. Así marcharon. Por otro lado, estaban los ladrones del desierto, Yamcha y Puar como siempre, escondidos vigilando para robar las esferas en el tanto las hayan reunido.

Son Goku, Bulma, and Ullong left excited because they only had one more ball left to meet the magic dragon and finish this journey.
Bulma drove and thought about everything she would do, plus now they were going to another place where the radar indicated how far away the last ball would be.

Son Goku, Bulma y Ullong, salieron emocionados porque solo les faltaba una sola esfera para conocer al dragón mágico y terminar con esta travesía.
Bulma, conducía y pensaba en todo lo que haría, además de que ahora, van a otro lugar donde el radar les indica, a qué distancia estaría última esfera.

After slowly rolling in that old, but still good, car, they arrived at a new town, and don't forget that the two desert robbers, Yamcha and Puar, also arrived. They have a clear objective: to steal the Dragon Balls once they have them all.

Luego de rodar lentamente en ese carro viejo, pero que aún estaba bueno, llegaron a un nuevo pueblo y no olvides que también llegaron los dos ladrones del desierto, Yamcha y Puar. Ellos andan con un objetivo bien marcado. El robarse las esferas del dragón una vez las tengan todas.

Upon arriving at this new town, she noticed some strange behavior among the residents. They would fill up the tank with gas, and Bulma would have stocked up on food and some capsules to use on the journey ahead. But the strange thing is that the people weren't behaving normally. They looked at her with strange bunny ears. She, however, ignored these signs. Imagine if they were giving her the gas so she'd get out of there quickly.

Al llegar a ese nuevo pueblo, se notó un comportamiento extraño entre los residentes. Ellos, cargarían el tanque con nafta, y Bulma, se habría pertrechado con alimentos y algunas cápsulas para usarlas en el camino que sigue. Pero lo extraño es que la gente no se comportaba normalmente. Le ven raro el par de orejas de coneja. Ella, sin embargo, hace caso omiso a esas señales. Imagínense que le regalaban la nafta, para que se fuera rapidito de allí.

At first, it was with Bulma. They saw her and ran away in terror. She approached people and they ran. Puzzled, she thought about everything. But she kept looking for clothes and a few items they needed to continue. The thing is, there, they didn't like the bunny ears Bulma had on her head. People were scared, and she noticed, but as always, she's all about herself. She puts her interests first, and that doesn't let her see beyond what's obviously dangerous.

Primero era con Bulma. La veían y salían despavoridos. Ella se acercaba a la gente y la gente corría. Ella, extrañada, pensó en todo. Pero seguía buscando ropa y algunos artículos que necesitaban para poder continuar. El caso es, que en ese lugar no les gustaron las orejas de conejo que Bulma tenía en su cabeza. La gente sentía miedo y ella lo notó, pero como siempre, ella está pendiente solo de sí misma. Primero sus intereses y eso no la deja ver más allá de lo evidentemente peligroso.

After a while, some characters wearing strange attire and very striking bunny ears arrived. The people fled because they were the ones harassing the town, mistreating them and stealing all their merchandise. This is why people looked at Bulma with fear, thinking she was part of the bunny gang.

Pasado un buen rato, llegaron unos personajes con un atuendo extraño y con orejas de conejo muy llamativos. La gente salió huyendo porque eran los que tenían al pueblo acosado, les maltrataban y robaban toda su mercadería. Es la razón por la cual, la gente miraba a Bulma con temor, pensando que ella formaba parte de la banda de los conejos.

The members of the Rabbit Gang threatened Bulma and her, as she only sent Goku to fight, and this is where the fight between the gang and Goku began. At this moment, the clueless Bulma realized why the townspeople were fleeing her presence and giving her everything for free to make her go away. They believed she was part of the Rabbit Gang.

Los miembros de la banda de los conejos, amenazaron a Bulma y ella, pues solo mandó a pelear a Goku, y aquí comenzó la pelea entre la banda y Goku. En este momento, fue que la despistada de Bulma, se dio cuenta de por qué la gente del pueblo huía de su presencia y le daba todo gratis para que se alejara. Ellos creían que ella formaba parte de la banda de conejos.

The time came to confront them, and guess who had to fight... Son Goku himself, against all the bandits, because neither Bulma, much less Ullong, who turned out to be a coward and self-interested man, just screamed and sent Goku to defend them. What about that? Thank goodness he's a kid trained for defense. Of course, he faced them, and they, in turn, having been defeated by Goku, summoned their Boss. Another fact: the two desert bandits were hiding there, just watching what was happening. As you know, they're after the complete Dragon Balls.

Llegó la hora de confrontarlos y adivinen quién fue el que tuvo que pelear... El mismo Son Goku, contra todos los bandidos, porque ni Bulma, y mucho menos Ullong, que resultó ser un cobarde e interesado, solo gritaban y mandaban a Goku a defenderlos. ¿Qué tal? Menos mal, que es un niño preparado para la defensa. Claro, los enfrentó y ellos a su vez, como fueron derrotados por Goku, invocaron a su Jefe. Otro dato, los dos bandidos del desierto, estaban allí escondidos, y solamente miraban lo que ocurría. Como saben, ellos andan tras las esferas completas del dragón.

At the end of the fight, it was all over for Goku, but it wasn't. The rabbits called their leader, the giant rabbit, the one who ruled them all. Ullong, a fearful creature, tries to persuade Goku and Bulma to leave, but we don't know if it's too late, because in the distance we can see the Great Rabbit and leader of the gang coming out of a cart with bunny ears too...

Al concluir la pelea, pues para Goku, todo había terminado, pero no era así, los conejos, llamaron a su jefe, el conejo gigante, el que los gobernaba a todos. Ullong, trata de persuadir presa de miedo a Goku y a Bulma para marcharse de allí, pero no sabemos si ya es tarde, porque a lo lejos se ve que sale de un carro con orejas de conejo también, el Gran Conejo y jefe de la banda...

We'll see what the arrival of the rabbit boss has in store for us. I'm confident he'll be defeated by Goku, but nothing can be predicted in this story, since there are many negative vibes lurking around our Son Goku...
