¿Goku, will he be able to defeat the monster Buyon?

This week, my reactions continue, reading the Son Goku saga from my perspective, as a mother and a senior citizen, being able to enjoy it through the manga. This collection was written by two famous publishers, to whom Goku fans owe a lot. Of course, and mostly to its author, Akira Toriyama. I think it's much better to watch a manga than the movie itself, because in the manga, we can detail moments, even several times.

![spanish]Esta semana, continúan mis reacciones, al leer la saga de Son Goku, desde mi perspectiva, como madre y con tercera edad, al poder disfrutarla a través de la visualización del manga. Colección escrita, por dos editoriales famosas, a las cuales los fans de Goku, le deben mucho. Claro y mayormente a su autor Akira Toriyama. Yo considero que es mucho mejor ver un manga, que la película misma, porque en el manga, podemos detallar momentos, incluso varias veces.

To recap, Goku and Android 8, named Octavio, teamed up and together they confronted the Red Patrol's guardian. But finally, as they were about to reach the place where the mayor was being held, General White, from the top floor, set a trap that sent them to a basement with no way out. We had agreed that a giant portal opened in the wall, and a pink figure began to emerge. So, let's go, anyway, to uncover that mystery. Who was that pink creature coming out of that huge door?

![spanish]Si recapitulamos, tenemos que tanto Goku, como el androide número 8 llamado Octavio, se aliaron y juntos se enfrentaron al guardián de la patrulla roja. Solo que finalmente, y cuando se disponían a llegar hasta el sitio donde tenían secuestrado al alcalde, el General White, desde el último piso, les tendió una trampa que los mandó hasta un sótano sin salida. Habíamos quedado en que se abrió un portal gigante desde la pared, y comenzaba a salir una figura de color rosado. Así que vamos, con todo, a descubrir esa inquietud. ¿Quién era ese bicho de color rosado que salía de esa puerta tan grande?

He was a monster named Buyon. He was almost indestructible. That's why we'd left him until this chapter. Add to that the fact that our friend, the android who looks like Frankenstein, is a bit of a coward. What I like about him is that he's also somewhat strong. And he could help Goku out at some point. But the downside is that he doesn't like violence, and in this case, anyone who's with Goku always has to fight. So without further ado, let's see what happens in this chapter, which is getting interesting...

![spanish]Era un monstruo llamado Buyon. Era casi indestructible. Por lo cual, lo habíamos dejado hasta este capítulo. Agregando a esto que nuestro amigo, el androide que se parece a Frankenstein, es medio cobardón. Lo que me gusta es que también es algo fuerte. Y podría ayudar en algún momento a Goku. Pero punto negativo es que no le gusta la violencia y en este caso, siempre quien anda con Goku, debe pelear. Así que sin más, vamos a ver qué ocurrirá en este capítulo que se torna interesante…

Upon meeting Buyon head-on, Goku confronted him in every way he knew how. That monster was truly powerful. His belly was so big that when it was hit, it bounced back. Nothing would open it. What's more, Goku was already weak and doubting his power and strength. Even the Kamehameha, he used, did absolutely nothing to him.

![spanish]Al encontrarse de frente con Buyon, Goku se le enfrentó de todas las formas que conoce y puede. Ese monstruo era realmente poderoso. Su panza demasiado grande y cuando la golpeaban, pues rebotaba. No se abría por nada. Es más Goku ya estaba débil y dudando de su poder y fuerza. Hasta el Kamehameha, usó y no le hizo absolutamente nada.

Goku, after so many failed attempts to defeat the monster—and without help from Octavio, who just watched in fear—remembered the day he was rescued from the ice mountain. This gave him a fabulous idea. He remembered that ice cracks…
At the risk of failing, he threw himself at a wall and destroyed it, pushing it open, leaving the basement open. Suddenly, the cold outside came in, and the Buyon froze. At that moment, Goku took advantage and punched it in the stomach, completely splitting the pink beast. Ready, they were free from this other demon.

![spanish]Goku, luego de tantos intentos fallidos de derrotar al monstruo, y de paso sin ayuda de Octavio, que solo miraba asustado, se acordó del día que lo rescataron de la montaña de hielo. Lo cual le produjo una idea fabulosa. Recordó que el hielo se quiebra…
A riesgo que no lograrlo, se lanzó sobre una pared y la destruyó la empujo, allí quedó abierto el sótano. De pronto, entró el frío de afuera, y el Buyon se ha congelado. En ese momento, Goku aprovecha y le golpea la panza y se parte completamente aquella bestia rosada. Listo, salieron libres de este otro demonio.

The two rushed to the top floor of the tower to free the mayor. The guard didn't accept this easily and continued attacking them mercilessly. It was a mockery to him that they had taken his hostage...

![spanish]Ambos salieron de prisa al último piso de la torre a liberar al alcalde. Cosa que el guardián no aceptó tan fácilmente y siguió atacándoles sin piedad. Era una burla para él que se hayan llevado a su rehén…

The Red Patrol guard, seeing that they had broken free, attacks Goku and shoots him several times. He is amazed that Goku is unaffected by the bullets. Goku further replies that it only hurt. That guard was going crazy at that moment, realizing that Goku and his Android No. 8 had managed to escape.

El guardia de la Patrulla Roja, al ver que se habían liberado, atacó a Goku y le disparó varias veces. Le sorprendió que las balas no le afectaran. Goku respondió que solo le dolieron. El guardia se volvió loco en ese momento al darse cuenta de que Goku y su Androide n.° 8 habían logrado escapar.

Finally, the patrolman also challenges Octavio, and he attacks him to defend Goku... When Android Octavio sees that they are shooting at Goku, he gets angry and furiously attacks the Red Patrol Guardian. All to defend Goku from the bandit's gunfire. Then, the latter yells at him as a traitor, but also attacks him. This is where I could notice that the android was not a coward, and that he also has a lot of strength.

![spanish]Finalmente, el patrullero reta también a Octavio, y este lo ataca para defender Goku… Cuando el Androide Octavio, ve que le están disparando a Goku, se molesta y ataca al Guardián de la patrulla roja con furia. Todo para defender a Goku, de los disparos del bandido. Entonces este le grita traicionero, pero también lo ataca. Aquí es donde pude notar que el tal androide , no era un cobarde, y que también tiene mucha fuerza.

Let me tell you that the mayor is the father of the girl who rescued Goku from the ice mountain. Remember? Since they freed him, the mayor invited them to his house for lunch, especially Goku, who was starving. As we know, if Goku is hungry, he's weak, so he wouldn't have any energy left to fight.

![spanish]Les cuento que el alcalde es el padre de la niña que rescato a Goku de la montaña de hielo. ¿Lo recuerdan? En vista de que ellos lo liberaron, el alcalde los invito a su casa a comer y sobre todo a Goku, que se estaba muriendo de hambre y como sabemos, Goku si tiene hambre está débil, por lo tanto, no tendría nada de energía para pelear.

Octavio was also excited because the mayor invited him to live at his house. He'd give him a job as a security guard, I imagine. But that crybaby android was very happy to receive such a great offer. Of course, he accepted.

![spanish]Octavio también se emocionó porque el alcalde lo invitó a vivir en su casa. Le daría trabajo de custodio, me imagino. Pero ese androide llorón, se puso muy contento al recibir esa gran oferta. Por supuesto que lo aceptó.

When they're reunited, they start talking about the Dragon Ball, and it turns out Octavio had one he'd hidden from the Red Patrol. It was the two-star one. It wasn't the one Goku was looking for, but he gave it to him anyway.

![spanish]Cuando están reunidos, comienzan a hablar sobre la esfera del dragón y resulta que Octavio tenía una que había escondido de la patrulla roja. Era la de dos estrellas. No era la que Goku buscaba, pero igualmente se la dio.

In the tower village, where the mayor lives, the wise old men advised Goku to call upon his cloud, because it never dies. Goku listened and excitedly began calling out to it, and suddenly it arrived at his side. "It Did It!" His magical cloud was ready to embark on a new journey.

![spanish]En el pueblo de la torre, donde vive el alcalde, los viejos sabios, le aconsejaron a Goku que llamara a su nube, porque esa no moría nunca. Goku les hizo caso y comenzó a llamarla emocionado y de repente llegó a su lado. ¡Lo Logro!, su nube mágica, estaba lista para emprender un nuevo viaje.

Where will Goku go now? Well, he'll go find his friend Bulma, because the radar they use to locate the Dragon Balls got damaged in all the fighting. Only Bulma can fix it. So he'll go on a cloud flight to a place completely unknown to him, since he doesn't even know where his friend Bulma might live.

![spanish]¿Para dónde irá Goku ahora?, pues irá a buscar a su amiga Bulma, porque el radar que usan para localizar las esferas del dragón, se dañó entre tantas peleas. Solo Bulma lo podrá arreglar. Así que se irá en la nube a un lugar totalmente desconocido para él. Ya que no sabe ni siquiera dónde podría vivir su amiga Bulma.

Well, after much traveling on his magic cloud, he arrived at a very large and strange city, one he never imagined he'd ever visit. He was convinced that there he would find the home of his friend and companion, Bulma. I imagine you all remember her. She's the first girl our boy, with a monkey tail, ever met. But I'll save that chapter for the next post. I hope that, so far, you're enjoying this unique saga that won the hearts of Son Goku fans in the search for the Dragon Balls.

Pero dejaré este capítulo para el siguiente post. Espero que, hasta ahora, estén disfrutando de esta única saga que conquistó los corazones de los fans de Son Goku, en la búsqueda de las esferas del Dragón.
