Fun facts and my first reaction, upon reading Dragon Ball. Origin Saga, Vol. 1//[ENG-ESP]

Friends, since I have been invited and very well received in this interesting community, The Anime Kingdom, I will expose curious facts, things, details, and my points of view, with some analysis, about the Dragon Ball saga. In my previous publication, Anniversary of the first chapter of Dragon Ball, I introduce myself as the mother of three grown-up children, of course, who are more than followers of this great saga, created by Akira Toriyama.

En mi publicación anterior, Aniversario del primer capítulo de Dragon Ball, me presento como la madre de tres hijos ya adultos, por supuesto, que somos más que seguidores de esta grandiosa saga, creada por Akira Toriyama.

This emblematic character, Goku, has conquered the entire population of young people who like anime, and not so young, who were one day, present in that first chapter. Hence his fame. Also, I remind you that I am not the age of those who, obviously, are in this world of anime and that, believe it or not, it has conquered me too. De allí su fama. Asimismo, les recuerdo que no soy de la edad de quienes, obviamente, transitan por este mundo del anime y que aunque no lo crean, a mí también me ha conquistado. La imagen siguiente, la capturé cuando fuimos a ver la última película...

I confess that although I have indeed visited exhibitions, special events, personally enjoyed the voices of the various characters, in Argentina, it never occurred to me to read the volumes that have been published, of the Dragon Ball series.

So you will be able to read about my reactions, opinions and criticisms or not, while I read each chapter, because you can imagine the big difference that exists when we read a text, to when we see it in the cinema, in videos, or on TV, as I saw it, from day zero.

![spanish]Les confieso que aunque, en efecto, visité exposiciones, eventos especiales, disfruté personalmente de las voces de los diversos personajes, en Argentina, nunca se me ocurrió ponerme a leer los volúmenes que se han publicado, de la serie de Dragon Ball.
Así que van a poder leer sobre mis reacciones, opiniones y críticas o no, mientras leo cada capítulo, pues se imaginarán la gran diferencia que existe cuando leemos un texto, a cuando lo vemos en el cine, en videos, o en la tele, como yo lo vi, desde el día cero.

Without further ado, my first reaction upon opening the book, "Dragon, Ball, Saga, Origin ” was,
_ Upside down, how crazy!!!
I immediately went to ask my kids....
What is this, I demand an explanation, this edition is not normal. I'm sure, you all knew it and you also know that the Japanese write like this. Well, I didn't know that. I was reading the digital version of the publisher Planet Comic. What happens is that I like to browse from various sources.
In fact, my children explained it to me, but they had not warned me to see my reaction and to just laugh and wait for my question. Then I investigated a little more, and it turned out that these manga were edited in reverse, of course, that the Japanese write in the opposite direction to ours, even the vignettes are placed from right to left. I think that this detail should have been taken into account, to publish in countries where their customs are totally different from those of Japan.

_ ¡Al revés!, Qué locura!
En seguida fui a preguntar mis hijos…
_ ¿Qué es esto?, exijo una explicación, esta edición no es normal. Estoy segura, de que todos ustedes lo sabían y también saben que los japoneses escriben así. Pues, yo no lo sabía. Estaba leyendo la versión digital de la editorial Planeta Comic. Lo que ocurre es que a mí me gusta ojear de varias fuentes.
En efecto, mis hijos me explicaron, pero no me lo habían advertido para ver mi reacción y para solo reírse y esperar mi pregunta. Entonces investigué un poco más y resultó ser que estos mangas, fueron editados a la inversa, por supuesto, que los japoneses escriben en sentido opuesto al nuestro, inclusive las viñetas son colocadas de derecha a izquierda. Opino que se debió tomar en cuenta este detalle, para publicar en países donde sus costumbres son totalmente diferentes a las de Japón.

Now is when my project, for the anime world, will have a nice twist. Because I have started to read this first chapter, and the truth is that I have a lot to comment, especially the reactions that will be presented according to what I interpret. My plan is simple, I will make a weekly publication in this community, posting the result of my reading, to see if any interesting feedback is generated, regarding my comments, which will not be so soft, since I am very detailed. I am about to read, with great care, all the volumes of the Dragon Ball saga, and the best thing will be, when I will tell you about what I have found in each chapter and my reactions as I go along. About everything that manages to arouse my curiosity, or that catches my attention.

![spanish]Ahora es cuando mi proyecto, para el mundo del anime, tendrá un lindo giro. Porque he comenzado a leer este primer capítulo, y la verdad, es que tengo mucho para comentar, sobre todo, las reacciones que se irán presentando de acuerdo a lo que yo interpreto. Mi plan es sencillo, haré una publicación semanal en esta comunidad, colocando el resultado de mi lectura, para ver si se genera algún feedback interesante, en lo que respecta a mis comentarios, que no serán tan suaves, dado que soy muy detallista. Me dispongo a leer, con sumo cuidado, todos los volúmenes de la saga de Dragon Ball, y lo mejor será, cuando les cuente sobre lo que me ha parecido cada capítulo y mis reacciones a medida que vaya avanzando. Sobre todo aquello que logre despertar mi curiosidad, o que llame mi atención.

I will tell you, that always, I have been with my children sharing tastes for anime, we have visited the most important events, here in Buenos Aires, as well as the emblematic places that are presented for all anime fans, such as the frequent fairs, the Ciruja fair that is for exchanges, purchases and sale of figures and articles in general, but above all and that I love, the collection consoles, as well as toys and vintage figures. That fascinates me.
I think that later on I could show you part of the collection we have at home. For now, I'll leave until now, this first part of my deeper incursion into this beautiful world. And that has brought us many satisfactions at home. But I will tell you more about that later.

![spanish]Les diré, que siempre, he estado con mis hijos compartiendo gustos por el anime, hemos visitado los eventos más importantes, acá en Buenos Aires, así como los lugares emblemáticos que se presentan para todos los fans del anime, como las ferias frecuentes, la feria Ciruja que es para intercambios, compras y venta de figuras y artículos en general, pero sobre todo y que me encanta, las consolas de colección, así como los juguetes y figuras vintage. Eso me fascina.
Pienso que más adelante les podría mostrar una parte de la colección que tenemos en casa. Por ahora dejaré hasta acá, esta primera parte de mi incursión más profunda, en este hermoso mundo. Y que nos ha traído muchas satisfacciones en casa. Pero de eso, también les contaré más adelante.
