El Arte del Reciclaje en el Diseño de Moda//The Art of Recycling in Fashion Design/

A propósito del arte del diseño y el reciclaje, les traigo una hermosa muestra de vestidos elaborados con material de desecho, reciclable y/o reutilizable. Entre estos, están los platos que se usan para servir comida en las fiestas, que luego van a parar a la basura, o, a algún lugar inadecuado e impredecible
Estando de paseo por la ciudad de Buenos Aires, quise conocer el Hermoso centro cultural de Galerías Pacífico. Allí, en la parte superior específicamente, había una muestra de vestidos hermosos y lo que más me llamo la atención fue los materiales con los que estaban elaborados. Las botellas desechables de plástico, periódico, manteles deteriorados, bolsas de plástico, etc.

![ingles] Speaking of the art of design and recycling, I bring you a beautiful display of dresses made from waste, recyclable, and/or reusable materials. Among these are the plates used to serve food at parties, which then end up in the trash, or in some unsuitable and unpredictable place.
While strolling through Buenos Aires, I wanted to visit the beautiful Galerías Pacífico cultural center. There, specifically at the top, there was a display of beautiful dresses, and what caught my attention most was the materials they were made from. Disposable plastic bottles, newspaper, worn-out tablecloths, plastic bags, etc.

Dicha muestra, pertenecía a la escuela de producciones y art. sustentables, realizada por los alumnos de la Escuela Argentina de Moda. Los artistas se destacaron e hicieron un impecable trabajo de reutilización de material de desecho. Cuando hablamos de reciclaje, o de reutilización, esperamos ver un objeto elaborado, con otro objeto que ha perdido su utilidad de origen, o un objeto usado de nuevo, pero con otros fines. En este caso, los artistas dedicaron su atención a elaborar una selección de vestidos, demostrando todo lo que se puede construir, a través del reciclaje. Comienzo por describir el primer diseño. Es un espectacular traje, ha sido elaborado al reciclar un mantel desgastado y fuera de uso. Un diseño con formas al mejor estilo oriental, en este caso, si el artista no describe el material con el que fue elaborado, no me doy cuenta de qué material está hecho, porque francamente parece un lindo diseño en tela.

![ingles]This exhibition belonged to the School of Sustainable Production and Art, created by students from the Argentine School of Fashion. The artists excelled and did an impeccable job of reusing waste materials. When we talk about recycling or repurposing, we expect to see an object made from another object that has lost its original usefulness, or an object reused, but for other purposes. In this case, the artists dedicated their attention to creating a selection of dresses, demonstrating everything that can be created through recycling. I'll begin by describing the first design. It's a spectacular dress, created by recycling a worn and unused tablecloth. A design with shapes in the best oriental style. In this case, if the artist doesn't describe the material it was made from, I wouldn't realize what it was made of, because frankly, it looks like a beautiful fabric design.

El vestido anterior es de color negro, pues está elaborado con botellas de plástico desechables. Se nota que están muy bien tratadas, para que quede como si fuera el traje de una princesa, solo le faltaría, un lazo de color en alguna parte. Aunque yo no soy diseñadora y tal vez el artista me mire feo, por querer agregar color a este traje.

Otro que parece de reina, estaba hecho con platos blancos de plástico, esos que usamos para servir la torta en la fiesta de cumpleaños. Sabemos que luego del degustar del pastel, estos platitos van a la basura. La diseñadora ha creado un hermoso traje de novia. De hecho, en cada reseña, se resalta la duración del material, del cual está diseñado el traje.

![ingles]The previous dress is black and made from disposable plastic bottles. It's clear they're very well-treated, making it look like a princess's dress; all it needs is a colorful bow somewhere. Although I'm not a designer, the artist might give me a dirty look for adding color to this dress.
Another dress that looks like a queen's dress was made from white plastic plates, the kind we use to serve cake at birthday parties. We know that after the cake is eaten, these plates go in the trash. The designer has created a beautiful wedding dress. In fact, each review highlights the durability of the material from which the dress is made.

El vestido con capucha, que está abajo, también fue elaborado con bolsas de plástico. Es un diseño muy bonito, no sé si el material me cubra durante el invierno, pero me gustó el diseño. Hasta tiene bolsillos grandes.

![ingles]The hooded dress below was also made from plastic bags. It's a very pretty design. I don't know if the material will keep me warm in the winter, but I liked the design. It even has big pockets.

Uno de los trajes que más me gustó fue el que se realizó con bolsas plásticas, convertidas en hilos para tejer a dos agujas. Es tan delicado ese diseño, que hasta yo me lo pondría en algún momento. O al menos me gustaría aprender a hacer los hilos con el plástico para practicar haciendo algún diseño personalizado.

![ingles]One of the outfits I liked the most was the one made from plastic bags, converted into knitting yarn. This design is so delicate that even I would wear it someday. Or at least I'd like to learn how to make the yarns from the plastic so I can practice creating a custom design.

Me pareció curioso el que esté hecho con papel periódico. Sus hojas, que están en caída, forman una falda muy linda. Debe, resaltar figura a quien lo lleve. Eso sí, con este traje de papel periódico, hay que andar con mucho cuidado, porque si llueve, no hay salvación posible.

![ingles]I found it curious that it's made of newspaper. Its drooping leaves form a very pretty skirt. It should enhance the figure of the wearer. However, with this newspaper suit, you have to be very careful, because if it rains, there's no way out.

Espero les haya gustado esta muestra que tuvo que ver con el arte del reciclaje, en la Ciudad Capital de Buenos Aires.
