From Dreams To Reality:My 12 years journey of perseverance, passion and purpose.

when I was young, I had a passion for music. I wanted to learn how to play the piano, but I was shy and didn't have the courage to approach the church organist. As a Catholic, I was active in my church, serving as a mass servant and taking reading during mass. However, fear held me back from joining the choir or pursuing my musical interests.

Years went by, and I relocated to a new area. This change led me to a new place of worship, where I finally gathered the courage to join the choir. It was there that I began my musical journey, eager to learn and find my place in the music world. I had a desire to learn a musical instrument, whether it was the piano, drums, or something else – I just wanted to learn and grow in my musical abilities.

My musical journey wasn't easy, though. I tried learning to play the piano, but it didn't work out. I attempted to learn the drums, but that didn't succeed either. Despite these setbacks, I persisted. For years, I continued to pursue my passion for music, refusing to give up.

During my four-year stay in that location, I even resorted to gathering milk cans and other objects to create a construct drums for myself, just to see if I could learn to play. My determination and passion for music only grew stronger. I wasn't motivated by the desire for financial gain, but rather by a genuine desire to contribute to the church and praise God through music.

Eventually, I relocated back to my previous location, where I met a friend who shared my interest in music. He was learning to play the guitar, and I became interested in it as well. We worked together, and our passion for music led us to build our own guitar from scratch, using plywood and motorcycle clutch strings. Our determination was unwavering, and we continued to pursue our musical dreams, never giving up.

I continued to pursue my passion for music, buying mouth organ and recorders . I had a strong desire to learn, and my interest was solely focused on serving God through music. It should be that am among the instrumentalists...

One day, I saw a group of boys, playing the trumpet, during a rally. This encounter motivated me to learn the trumpet. Despite initial doubts, fueled by the notion that only older men played the trumpet, I sought out the young trumpeter and asked for his guidance.

Although he lived far away, we kept in touch through the internet. Eventually, his father was transferred to my location, and I was able to learn from him in person. I even traveled to continue my education, but my passion for the trumpet remained strong.

I recall paying for lessons with two trumpet tutors, but I persisted. Today am a pro playing for about 12 years of dedication, I'm grateful for the progress I've made. I've trained others who can now play the trumpet, and I'm thankful for God's guidance and strength throughout my journey.

"I've faced numerous moments where I felt like quitting. I cried, feeling ashamed, and was mocked by others, including my uncle, who told me I didn't have the talent to be a musician. He advised me to focus on my studies instead, saying that music wasn't in our family lineage. My aunt and elder brother also discouraged me, suggesting I pursue a more 'practical' career.

However, my mom remained a constant source of encouragement. Today, I'm grateful for her support, as my trumpet playing has become more than just a passion – it's a lucrative career that pays my bills and provides for my accommodations and holidays. My hard work and dedication have truly paid off."

I'm happy that I didn't give up, even when faced with discouragement and frustration. There were times when people thought I was idle, but now they rejoice with me and offer valuable advice.

I'd like to encourage everyone to persevere in pursuing their dreams and projects. Never give up, even when faced with challenges and setbacks. Keep pushing forward, and remember that failure is not final – it's just a sign to adjust your approach.

The trumpet is not an easy instrument to begin with, it needs allot of motivation to flow with it, I'm pretty sure your passion for the instrument is what drove you this far..
Good to see you having good times exercising your passion..

I admire your passion for music. We're the same. I am also a pianist but I do admit that I am not pro. I'm still working in progress.
