To succeed academically, your clique matters in school. For about a year, I have been carefully monitoring and observing some of my students.

One young girl came in newly in JSS1 and was so bright and peaceful, her first-term result was good, but with time she started joining a clique of other young students who were not really helping her. By the second term, her scores dropped and she became so playful and rude. This affected her overall performance and result at the end of the term.

But Jemima's case was different, because she came and maintained a very small clique and she is always seen with her clique reading or playing spelling bee games, at times she’s just on her own. She had the best clique ever.
