Tax rate and return is a very important topic that concerns all the citizens irrespective of your country, because you will pay tax in one way or the other. As a salary earner , your tax is being deducted from from salary even before payment, as a business person, you keep paying tax, even companies pay their tax to the government. And this tax rate is weighty, because even when you are buying something or doing any transactions, VAT will also be deducted .

Normally, we know the importance of tax to a nation, and the problem is not always about paying this tax because government have means of getting the tax from her citizens, but the problem is, those citizens paying this tax do they feel the impact of this tax, has the tax been properly utilize to benefit the payers or is it robbing Peter to pay Paul ? Tax rate especially in my country is high and they keep coming up with different tax laws annually, but the return is nothing to write home about.

Tax normally, is supposed to be used to fix bad road, assist in renovating or building good hospital especially in rural areas, building schools, markets and also ensuring that there is a good supplying of electricity in different communities within the nation, but in the case of my country, reverse is always the case. School buildings are being dilapidated , no good road, no clean water in the rural areas , no well equipped hospitals for the citizen, yet they are being taxed. Why must we pay for what we are not using ?

If our nation is being truthful and learn to use our tax the way it is supposed to be used , then I think our country will get to where it is supposed to be in the nearest future. Because I doubt if our government has been using upto 50% of our tax judiciously.
