Spend well, the avoid affliction repeating itself the second time.

As a citizen of Nigeria, and as the economy is now, you don't need anyone to advise you on spending and savings. Because in this country, there are a whole lot of things, necessary and unnecessary that we spend money on. As a Nigerian using a smart phone , you know that data is life. That's why our network providers are using data to milk us. Another thing that we spend mostly is , transportation and feeding. As humans, you must eat everyday and the cost of living / food in the market now adays is something else. Public transporters are not helping matters either. But in all these we must learn to save in order to be safe. We must also learn to manage our finances properly to avoid what happened to me some months ago.
I remember a particular month that I received salary and I was so shock that in less than a week , I felt as if I didn't see any money that month, my account was red. Before I received the salary , I had a whole lot of activities that was waiting for money to land so that I start contributing. I didn't even make a concrete financial plan for that year. All I did was check who I was supposed to send money to , then I send, I also paid some necessary dues in the associations that I belong. I did other things. And in few days, I was thinking of how I am going to survive till another cash comes in and side hustling was not even flowing that month. So God helped me and I managed to survive.
After surviving that month, I ensure that I don't spend with emotions or base on how much I see in my account. I plan on what to spend on and also keep emergency funds, just in case. Anything outside that, I will limit my spending. Because I don't want the affliction to repeat itself the second time.

I've had such experience before, less than a week and there's nothing in my account. I couldn't even point at a significant thing the money was used for.
God's to see that you've learnt and now more disciplined with your spendings.
Thanks for sharing.

It's not always a nice experience oo
At all sir..
tHe economy has truly thought us a lot, learning to understand how to spend money better, transport and food takes a lot from us right now,
Seriously my brother. The economy is not smiling.
Thanks for reading.
Honestly as a Nigerian you don't need someone to tell you how to spend considering the condition of the economy.
if we don't learn how to manage our money, even if we earn millions weekly, we may not be able to account for it. One just needs to find a way to make it a habit to save and use money wisely
