Cleanup is the act of removing waste, dirt, and unwanted materials from an area to maintain hygiene, order, and environmental sustainability.
Since the weekdays were busy for me and the environment was a bit unkempt, I decided to do some cleaning today, being Saturday. I woke up early, tidied up my room, and then stepped outside.
The veranda was littered with waterproofs, biscuit sachets, and other waste, while some corners had overgrown grass. It was time for serious work. I started by weeding the surroundings, sweeping, and gathering the nylons in one place. I packed some and placed them together before putting everything inside a bag for easier disposal.
Next, I proceeded to the nearby gutter, where I collected waste and nylons and disposed of them properly. I also gathered some plastic roofing sheets that had been removed from a nearby store and placed them in one spot.
The cleanup was both necessary and rewarding, as it made the environment look clean and contributed to maintaining a healthy and sustainable ecosystem. I also noticed my neighbors doing the same, which shows that environmental cleanup is important to many people.

La limpieza es el acto de eliminar residuos, suciedad y materiales no deseados de una zona para mantener la higiene, el orden y la sostenibilidad del medio ambiente.
Como entre semana estaba muy ocupada y el entorno estaba un poco descuidado, decidí hacer algo de limpieza hoy, que es sábado. Me levanté temprano, ordené mi habitación y luego salí a la calle.
El porche estaba lleno de impermeables, sobres de galletas y otros desperdicios, mientras que en algunas esquinas había hierba crecida. Era hora de trabajar en serio. Empecé escardando los alrededores, barriendo y reuniendo los nylons en un solo lugar. Empaqueté algunos y los coloqué juntos antes de meterlo todo en una bolsa para desecharlo más fácilmente.
A continuación, me dirigí al canalón cercano, donde recogí los residuos y los nylons y me deshice de ellos adecuadamente. También recogí algunas láminas de plástico para tejados que habían retirado de una tienda cercana y las coloqué en un lugar.
La limpieza era tan necesaria como gratificante, ya que daba un aspecto limpio al entorno y contribuía a mantener un ecosistema sano y sostenible. También me di cuenta de que mis vecinos hacían lo mismo, lo que demuestra que la limpieza ambiental es importante para mucha gente.
