MY PERSPECTIVE ABOUT SUCCESS

Everyone desires to be successful, yet success is defined differently by each individual. That is why people pursue it in various ways, and even when they eventually achieve it, their actions and inactions reflect their unique understanding of what success means.

Success is generally regarded as the achievement of a desired goal, purpose, or outcome. For some, it is fame, wealth, or recognition, while for others it is inner peace, good health, or meaningful relationships.

Personally, I see success as the attainment of wealth and fame that can be used to transform the lives of others, pay one’s bills, and extend a helping hand to those in need. I believe we are blessed to be a blessing, and if someone considers themselves successful but cannot support others, then that success is incomplete. It should not end with meeting personal needs or caring only for one’s immediate family. True success also involves reaching out to others and contributing positively to society. This is not about people feeling entitled, but rather about showing love and compassion whenever we can.

Furthermore, being successful goes beyond money. How well one performs in academics, business, spiritual growth, and other areas of life also defines success. There are wealthy individuals who, despite having money, lack the wisdom to use it meaningfully, and they often waste it on irrelevant things.

To me, a truly successful person is one who strives to succeed in all aspects of life and whose success impacts others positively. It involves lifting people up to also become successful, not just by giving them resources but by teaching them how to create their own. In life’s journey, those we empower today may become the very ones who will stand by us when we are weary or in need of support.
