Without someone to talk to, they may suffer in silence or turn to the wrong people. And this to a greater extent affects their academic performance.
School counselors can help, but how many of our schools, especially public ones, have them? We often see children choose a career path just because their friends have chosen same, and on a long run, it gets to affect their performance and limit their progress in life.
