Immortality ?

If it was possible to purchase immortality, would it be a good thing or the other way round?
This question makes us think deeply about life and ask different questions as to what makes life worth living forever, because many people dream of living forever. This idea has been part of the stories in religion and even science for a long time, but no perfect answer has been given to it. Some think it would be great to have more time to do everything they want, while others believe it could bring new problems. But let's discuss it in detail today.

Immortality would have been beautiful if man was not meant to grow old. The beauty of life lies in the ability to use your energy while you are young and accomplish meaningful things. Life is a journey that becomes more interesting with its seasons—childhood, youth, adulthood, and old age. Each stage has its lessons and unique experiences.

What is immortality?

Immortality is the state of living forever without experiencing physical death.

Now, if immortality could be purchased, would I consider buying it? Well, let me say yes and no.
Yes, on the condition that I would be immortal only for a certain number of years, perhaps up to the age of 107. By this age, one would have achieved a lot in life, touched many lives, and possibly fulfilled their life’s mission. It would be a blessing to live long enough to see the results of your efforts and contributions to humanity.

No, because living forever while still growing old would blur the true beauty of life. You might just exist without the physical strength to do anything meaningful. It could also become a burden to others. Furthermore, buying immortality and watching young people, loved ones, and family members come into the world and then pass on while you remain could lead to a deep sense of loneliness and even depression.

It is important to note that we grow and become motivated to accomplish things in life and leave a legacy because we are aware that our time on earth is limited. But if you knew there would be no end, nothing would truly inspire you to grow or evolve in different aspects of life.

Finally, living forever might not be as nice and fun as it sounds and the way we imagine. Although it may give us more time to live, it could be boring, lonely, and full of sadness. We value every moment of life because we know that it has an end. Time becomes precious when we know it is limited.

So instead of purchasing immortality, I would rather pray for God's grace to live long, fulfill my purpose, and leave a positive footprint in the sands of time.

Living a long normal life is truely better than an immortal one where you face several downside.

Immortality might look good from the onset but it's definitely a terrible thing. I have seen movies where people did everything possible to become immortal but in the end, their lives were miserable. Life became boring and they wished for death.
