At times we look back and appreciate the level we have reached, and at some points we still look back and say to ourselves, how I wish I had known this earlier, or how I wish I had been exposed to this experience long before now, I would have done much better in life. Personally, there are a lot of things I pay for now, and some are things I had the opportunity to learn back then, but because of one factor or another, I could not. Others are things I would have loved to learn, but because of time and lack of finance, I could not learn them. Today, I have to pay people to do most of those things for me because I no longer have the chance to learn them. This is why learning skills at a tender age is very important, because if it does not pay today, it will surely pay tomorrow.

If I could talk to my younger self, I would encourage and tell my younger self to take time and learn new skills like crypto, data analysis or analytics, graphics design, and other soft and well-paying skills. I would have told my younger self to take about two years after SS3 to learn some of these skills, and during my NYSC, I would also tell my younger self to take that one year seriously and learn another high-paying skill. I would have also advised myself to take reading and personal development seriously, to make friends with people who inspire growth, and to always be open to learning from others who know better.

But the truth is, no time is really too late to start anything, as long as your mind is determined, you will always sail through. It is all about taking the first step and doing away with procrastination because procrastination is what kills dreams. So I believe I can still talk to my older self now and start doing something, and it will go a long way to help both now and later.
