EAT HEALTHY OR SPEND THE MONEY ON DRUGS ; CHOOSE WISELY.

Healthy eating means consuming varieties of food that give your body the nutrients it requires to maintain good health.

Now, the problem here is that when people hear about healthy eating and talk about varieties of food, they think it means eating plenty of food or stocking their fridge with different kinds of food and eating every minute. This is especially common, considering the economic situation of the country right now.

No, eating healthy doesn't have to be costly or complicated. It only requires intentional planning, eating at the right time, and eating the right quantity and quality of food. So, we need a mindset shift to understand that eating healthy is not about consuming everything under the sun. Again, we don't have to blame unhealthy eating on the economy.

Because if you fall sick as a result of poor eating habits or unhealthy eating, the money you would have spent on food will be spent in double or even triple amounts buying drugs. So, it is left for you to choose whether to eat healthy or spend your money on medication.

Tips to eat healthy on a budget:

📌 Plan your meals and always go shopping with a list.

📌 Buy in bulk if you can.

📌 Sugary drinks and snacks drain your pocket, so try and limit them.

📌 Learn to cook at home and make use of the vegetables around you.

📌 Have a small garden in your house. It saves the stress of going to the market often and also reduces cost.

📌 Drink clean water.

📌 Wash every fruit before eating.

📌 Eat when you are hungry, not just because food is available. Some people tend to eat simply because they see food, even when they are already full. That same food can be preserved for another time, but they still eat it just because it is there.

To this end, we know that the cost of living is skyrocketing, but we should all try our best to cut our coat according to our cloth, especially in the aspect of eating healthy.
