Babajas was a very popular village musician, but we were always surprised by everything about him. From his shiny dressing to his neck chains and even his shoes, we constantly wondered where he got the money to afford all these things. He was never invited to national or international shows that could have earned him more income, yet he was widely known in our community.

One day, during a performance at the village's new yam festival, it began to rain, and to our amazement, all the shiny necklaces and shoes he proudly claimed were original started to wash off. Right then and there, we realized everything was fake.

On another occasion, Babajas paraded around town with shiny teeth, boasting that they were made of gold and that just one of them could build two bungalows in the village. We all knew it was fake, but when the prince returned from the city, Babajas was exposed once again. The prince brought back pure gold, and Babajas had no place to hide his face or his false teeth.
