AFRI-INLEO INITIATIVE 45 : HIVE BLOCKCHAIN AND MY MUSIC LIFE

Music is one thing I love so much, and another thing about music is that you get to know more or improve your singing and playing skills the more you do it. They say practice makes perfect, and they also say we learn to write by writing.

Since I joined Hive Blockchain, I have been able to learn a lot from other great singers and instrumentalists. Seeing their performances motivates me to do more and pushes me to practice more.

Hive is a decentralized, fast, and scalable blockchain designed primarily for social networking, content creation, and decentralized applications.

Before joining the platform, there were times I would stay for like two months without touching the guitar for any form of practice. But this platform has helped me to practice more. Even when I am busy, I still create time for it. Furthermore, the corrections I get whenever I drop an entry are always helpful. I remember the day I dropped an entry and someone commented that my tone was low. I later checked the video again and found out that it was true, so I kept trying to improve.

For some time now that I have been writing, I focus more on academic writing and other motivational writings. But Hive Blockchain has helped me practice how to do some write-ups about music via the Afri-inleo initiative. It has helped me do more research in that area and also put it into writing. One of the entries where I talked about music as a universal language was an interesting one. I knew that, but doing more research and discovering a lot on the topic was fun and insightful.

In the aspect of video, the Blockchain has also helped me pay more attention to how I edit videos, and I have also used that skill in other aspects of life. The Blockchain has inspired me to do more in order to have great sound. That's why I am planning to get a mic that will help filter background noise. So, continuous participation on the Hive Blockchain will help me more in music.

Another thing I love about the Hive platform is the community support. People are always ready to encourage and cheer you on, no matter your level of experience. That kind of energy keeps you going and makes you want to do better every time.
