A HEART OF GRATITUDE
A songwriter once said, “There are so many reasons to give You praise, oh Lord.” Another added, “Count your blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.” Indeed, we have countless reasons to be grateful to God. Even for this year alone, there is so much to be thankful for.
I am one person who doesn’t really believe in writing New Year resolutions. Not because it’s a bad idea, but I just don’t write them. I usually figure out the things I would love to achieve in my head, hand them over to God in prayers, and work towards them. This year was not an exception.
Firstly, when there is life, there is hope. So I thank God for the gift of life and the free air we breathe. I’ve seen many people spend so much in the hospital. Some have even passed on, including those who had enough money to buy life if it were for sale. Yet, despite not being more righteous than others, God has given me the grace to breathe this free air. I sleep and wake up every morning, go out and return safely, move around at night, and still, God has remained faithful. That alone is more than enough reason to say, “Thank You, Lord.”
I believe that one of the greatest blessings we often overlook is the gift of life. We sometimes assume it’s our fundamental human right to live, and we treat sleeping and waking up as normal routines. But in truth, life is the greatest blessing to mankind.
Secondly, I thank God for the progress in my career and academics. God has been pushing me from grace to grace, even during challenging and discouraging times. He has always remained faithful.
I also want to thank God for the N-Samp Foundation and our team. Even when funds are not always readily available for the projects we plan, God has always made a way. With the little we have received, we have managed to carry out some of our goals. Our major aim this year was to register the foundation with the CAC before the end of the first quarter. Though we haven’t achieved that yet, I strongly believe that the dream will come to pass. I don’t know how it will happen, but I am confident that it will.
I must also thank God for leading @gloreal to introduce me to the Hive Blockchain. This platform has been a great blessing, and the achievements I’ve recorded so far have been encouraging. This has truly been one of the best things I have engaged in this year, and I pray for the grace to do even more.
I also thank God for this month. It has been a great one. God added a new baby to our family, as my brother’s wife delivered safely through His mercies.
In my dialect, we sing, “Mkpedi buk mfon Obong, oyo eyekim, oyo esiere,” which means, “If I tried to count the goodness of God, darkness would set in and dawn would appear,” yet I would still not be done.
So let me pause here, but for all that God has done and all He will continue to do, I say, “Thank You, God.”

There are so many reasons to thank God sir. You see this life thing enn, we don't know how lucky we are. Many with great dreams and potential wished they were still here, but they are gone. Life is something to be thankful about.
