Splinterlands: Finding Synergies, combining the old with the new!

Good day inhabitants of Praetoria, today it's due time for my second post to take part in this weeks Splinterlands Challenges, and this weeks topic is about finding and sharing synergies between two or more cards, it's an important part of the strategy in this game, I especially love the synergy between old and new cards!

So, the funny thing is, 17 days ago for the challenge that week I made my own 'finding synergies' themed post, did you adopt my idea @splinterlands team? 😁

Of course, it would be too easy to use this same synergy again and also against the rules of participation I think, and it's fun to make posts anyway and also there are a lot of synergies out there, some of the most obvious are Quora with the two martyr cards surrounding her, especially powerful in poison rulesets or Baakjira with Kulu Mastermind or Baakjira in the back with Daarg Deadblast, which remembers me I should play that card more often...

For this post I would like to share a strategy I like to use in my brawls, I fill the Wild Silver fray with one of my accounts, the star of this synergy is pretty well known, it's Aves Sturgis and it's usually paired up with the Pelacor Conjurer in front of it and Helmet Kharafax behind it...
I own Aves as a level 3 where it has the extra magic damage but in Silver it only has 2 magic damage which makes all the difference...

A large collection of cards helps us adapt to the different rulesets because sometimes, not all cards are allowed to be played, it was the same in the battle I'm going to share with you all for this post....

The battle I have saved to share for this post is a guild brawl in my usual Silver Wild fray and it's a 37 mana Heavy Metal / Explosive / Are You Not Entertained battle with only the Death splinter locked out. Because of the Heavy Metal ruleset, my usual go to, the Pelacor Conjurer wasn't available, so I needed another plan, The synergy I want to share for this post is Aves with Delwyn Dragonscale so Aves gets to 3 magic damage again, I have multiple non attack monsters I like to team up with Aves but my usual line-up is Evelyn with Thorns in the back, as back guard and Pelacor Conjurer up front, 2 mana with a lot of HP and spell reflect is pretty nice!

With all these splinters available, there's no telling what my opponent comes up with so I was just making an awesome team myself.

First look at the battlefield:

Oh! That's a very good team.. for me 😇 no magic protection whatsoever, I get the idea though, with blast Jacek is the obvious choice because it makes your own monsters harder to hit with the +2 speed and the scattershot combined with blast will wreck the other team when it lands in the middle, it's like having multiple low mana Chaos Dragons.

When making this post I realized I have two Delwyn's and because the rental market for older cards isn't great, I'll delegate my silver level Delwyn to my friend @cherokee4life as a welcoming present in to our second guild. I don't think you have Aves but +1 magic can be very powerful, I think you remember how dominant Alric was! 😃

My Line-Up:

• Summoner: Delwyn Dragonscale - reason: +1 Magic, Dragon makes this very versatile.
• First position: Skyspire Leopard - reason: Void Armor and Retaliate.
• Second position: Night Reaper - reason: Stop blast with the Deflection Shield.
• Third position: Helmet Kharafax - reason: Receive Weapons Training, has Scavenge.
• Fourth position: Aves Sturgis - reason: Magic Weapons Trainer.
• Fifth position: Evelyn Auvera - reason: Receive Weapons Training, Thorns.
• Sixth position: Ureaus - reason: Sneak.

Without the blast I would have put Ureaus at the third position but it's low on HP so it's safer in the back.

The Battle:

Round 1: Well.... first the complete enemy team was there... and now it's not!! This is how powerful my synergy can be and I win a lot of brawl fights with it! 😁

It's pretty rare a battle only lasts 1 round!
