The Simple Recycling I Did

What is that quote they said about ignorance, that "it is the main cause of every bad luck and undesirable event"? Many people do not know that they can play several roles in making the world a better place. So we see people complaining every day about their environment and the disasters facing the world.

But the truth is that we all have a part to play in making the world a better place and part of what we can easily do to achieve a better world is to reduce carbon by recycling continually. Many people do not know how or what to recycle, but after going through this piece of mine, I hope you would get a clearer view of recycling.

I recycle very often because I don't like wasting anything. The idea behind recycling is that we do not throw away materials that have been used for a particular purpose and are still usable for another important purpose. A good example of a recyclable material is plastic rubbers, which are usually produced by various manufacturing industries for the preservation of their products.

In most cases, after using the products, the plastic rubbers would still be reusable, but people would prefer to throw them away carelessly and cause a mess within our environment. I can't really tell for other countries, but almost every street in my country has a pile of both recyclable and non-recyclable materials scattered all over the street.

The sad part is that these plastics are continually manufactured by the company, and the energy that would have been used for a different task would still be used in creating new plastics, and this is how it has continued for decades now.

Some of the plastic bottle companies have started creating awareness about the potential benefits of recycling their bottles. Looking at it critically, we would discover that recycling these plastic bottles could improve the general wellbeing of our environment and that of the manufacturing company too, because the energy and aluminum required to create a new plastic bottle is over 80% higher than when recreating a recycled bottle.

Below, I will be sharing with us how I reused a plastic bottle to achieve a different purpose instead of just throwing it away.

The light bulb in my room is too bright and its brightness usually affects my eyes whenever it's fully turned on. Sometimes the power holding company here (NEPA) would give us electricity in the night when everyone is sleeping, and if my bulb is turned on, the brightest from the bulb would make me uncomfortable because it can cause so much heat.

That's why I opted for a remedy by recycling a plastic bottle that was already used to sell water by the AQUAFINA water company.

The idea of how to reuse this plastic bottle was generated from my mind and it has remained on my mind for a while, but I thought of trying it out now, and I hope it goes as planned.

I proceeded by using a knife to cut off the front part of the bottle to create a moderate opening that would be able to cover the bulb.

I measured the plastic bottle with the size of my bulb and I discovered that everything was going as planned.

I proceeded to test out my ideas, by using the plastic bottle to cover my bulb and I was glad I took this step because the bulb no longer generates heat as it used to do. The brightness of the bulb has also become moderate just the way I wanted it to be.

It is important to know that recycling shouldn't be left for just one person or a few persons. This should be a collective pursuit from all of us because the more we recycle, the better and healthier bout planet becomes. The big companies and industries would be the happiest if every individual began to recycle or reuse their materials.
