YESTERDAY'S ART SHENANIGANS

I must really give it to Leofinance and the adoption campaigns for reviving my interest in drawing again. I won't have imagined that I would draw again after so many years, but there I am, falling in love with the art again.

Today I draw a lion 🦁. For the zealy first art task. I wasn't too impressed with how my previous drawing looked but I posted it anyways because I had to complete my task. However, I would say this time was different.

Unlike the previous post, this piece wasn't difficult because I had guidance from a tutor on YouTube (what can't one learn online these days on youtube). I just had to follow a few instructions and I was able to draw is cute lion.

The piece wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, however, I did have issues with my shading. I plan to work on that during the week before attempting more difficult tasks. Below is a gif showing the entire process of drawing the lion:

Asides shading, I also need to working on my tracing, my hands don't same to be straight anymore. I did not like how the eyes came out. I wanted a more menacing look but the lion turned out looking somewhat cute.🥹

Also, I don't know if it's just me, but I think I need darker pencils for this kind of drawing. The illustrator I learned from used a much more darker pencil and his piece looked better (not disregarding him a professional, his work should look better than mine) but I I think mine should have come out better with darker pencils.

As with most of my recent drawings I get tired at the end and frustrated with my imperfects. Hence why I slapped the Leo and zealy logo lazily on the piece. Thankfully I am not an artiste, but for my next piece I plan to take more time (maybe two days to complete)
