Trent Alexander-Arnold To Real Madrid CONFIRMED
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been one of the popular names on the summer transfer market window after the rumours of the Englishman not renewing his contract with Liverpool as he is set to join Real Madrid. As a fan, I would like to believe that Arnold will reconsider his decision and stay at the club next season, but recent events like when he hung his shirt on the corner pole against Leicester City prove to many football fans and Liverpool supporters that it was definitely a goodbye message to Liverpool.
Three days ago, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the rumours that we have all been hearing for months and put an end to the belief that Arnold will change his mind. Fabrizio Romano confirmed Trent Alexander-Arnold will be joining Real Madrid next season as the Englishman has accepted Real Madrid's proposal and is set to sign a five-year deal with the club soon. There are not many details about the contract and what salary Arnold will be getting at Real Madrid, but I am sure it will be higher than what he is getting at Liverpool, although I am sure Liverpool can afford to increase Arnold's wage.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will be playing his final match at Liverpool on the 25th of May and will be given a send-off gathering as well at Anfield when Liverpool plays their last match of the 2024/2025 season against Crystal Palace. There are not enough words to describe how good of a player Arnold is and how he has been a key part of Liverpool in the past few years. One of the important moments I can remember from Arnold was the fast corner kick taken against FC Barcelona in the Champions League, which resulted in Liverpool's incredible comeback as the team went on to win the Champions League that season.
Trent will always have a special place in the hearts of Liverpool, and I have to refer back to Klopp for giving Arnold the chance to play in the first team, because it has been an incredible roller coaster for both Arnold and the fans. Real Madrid is a great club, and he would be a great addition to the team, as it is clear Real Madrid needs to cover that RB position because it has taken a toll on them since Dani Carvajal picked up an ACL injury, which resulted in him missing the rest of the season.
Lucas Vázquez, who has covered that role for part of the season, has not been that good, and he probably will be leaving the club this summer, as reports say Real Madrid have yet to offer him a new contract. Arnold will fit into Real Madrid's system, and since there is a possibility Ancelotti will be leaving at the end of the season, it will be left for Xabi, who has been rumoured to take Ancelotti's position if he leaves this summer, to get the best out of Arnold next season. I wish Trent Alexander-Arnold the best. Once he starts a new phase in his career, he will definitely be missed. So, guys, this is where I say goodbye. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
Greate move for Arnold
He will help his new club to success
