THE DEMON LION

This is my best drawing so far

I say this not because it is the best-looking thing I have drawn. There are obvious issues with the lion's jaw proportion, and don't get me started on those funny-looking alien eyes 🤣. Nevertheless, it looks better than most of the other things I have drawn because of the better shading technique.

Anyway, this is my last entry for the leofinance artist quest. I do not have any software device to make digital art I have to settle for my pencil and paper.

Inspiration from this post was Trigon from the DC universe. I think I depicted my demon dragon well, although I want to give it more horns and visible fangs for that menacing look but I think this would do for now. I will keep updating the images here during the day.

PROCESS

At started by outlining the lion's face and experimenting with the horn. I wanted something bigger but my sketchbook was the limiting factor.

I did spend a considerable amount of time drawing and erasing. You might not notice thanks to the shading but the piece is a little rough.

Decide to redraw and correct some of my initial mistakes. I think the newer one looks better. What do you think?

So i discovered that i did not meet the terms fro the quest so i decided to make another piece. This is how it went:
